While I dislike the undercarriage, ROTF Jetfire is on this list more for how annoying his panneling is in alt mode. Getting everything to line up is what takes the longest. He's a simple toy, especially for a leader, but you can waste a good 15 mins with that paneling.

The only one I've found difficult was the alternity seekers.. Otherwise everything else is pretty easy. O

How could you leave out the ROTF Twins? I don't mind the characters, but their transformations just aren't fun AT ALL

The instruction manuals these days aren't what we should call an epitome of accuracy.

I don't think it's the manual. MP-05 is just a pile of garbage. Hopefully, the MP-36 model will improve that situation.

Mudflap I don't remember being that bad, but Skids was the first toy I ever actually threw at a wall. Possibly the only one. His legs were a nightmare.

Reveal The Shield Perceptor. Even Paul Eiding who voiced Perceptor said he thought the toy was to hard to transform.

Ugh, I have two of the Alternity Seeker Mold, after fighting with the first one to get it transformed (if I remember correctly the instructions are wrong at a couple of points) the second one is staying in the box.

I definitely would have put DotM Ultimate Optimus on this list. It seems like everything is super fiddly and needs to be exactly just right on him. Plus 'statue mode' sucks.

To me, that toy surpasses being annoyng to just being plan bad. I really really dislike that toy.

Even the cheap paper they started using for them mid way through Combiner Wars hinders things, making them muddier and harder to make out even what they did bother to put into them.

The only stain in the stellar Binaltech and Alternity line that's for sure.

I own 3 of the 5 listed.

And they are some of my favorites transformers, because they are hard.

I always liked brain teaser. The harder to transform, the best. I don't really like the quick-transform thing.

Well with exception of Beast wars toys such as razorbeast. Because you can't fight child memory (and it's almost my first transformers).

Looking instructions, is a kill joy. but I must admit, for Jetfire, I needed instructions for the weird belt.

And for the death Star... Well I'm also a true Star Wars fan so... The hardest was to find a way to put the lightsaber inside. Hard without bending it but possible.

By the way, hello there, i'm new here. And I'm french.

I appreciate you quoting me, and no problem on the Death Star. Really is bad, isn't it.

As for the list... since I've never owned the Alternity Seeker molds, I can't fully agree on it being number one. But here I'll defer to your experience. Otherwise, yeah.

And yes, looking at instructions is a kill joy and i realized that when I needed instructions the most, they didnt really help. I will give more examples next week because that is when I will be posting the list of top 5 most difficult toys. There is some overlap, but this list here was most about the ones that are annoying. The death Star Vader and Jetfire arent really complex toys (neither is the alternity seeker) but the way they are made makes it take a lot longer to transform than it should. The animated Seeker is a great example of that. It is a really simple toy, just a few steps, but getting those arms and legs perfectly is not easy or straightforward. So it becomes quite annoying. But next week we will be talking about the actually long and arduous transformations. I hope you stick around for that list, I think you will like it even more than this one

Very true : usually when you need instructions, they are often pointless.

Not only that, but what I find REALLY anoying is when the istructions are made BEFORE the final toy is fully designed. Too often the steps are for something that DONT EXIST.

Two examples:

DOTM Skyhammer. The instructions tell you to pull OFF the rotorblades as a separate piece for transformation. In reality, the rotorblades are PINNED down. It pull out and down for transformation but don't separate.

ROTF Starscream. A cruel, cruel trolling. One that filled me with RAGE. To transform into a jet the instructions tell you to flip the hands at the wrist to tuck and hide them inside the jet's back. Guess what sucker, THERE IS NO WRISTS. And the hands just hang out there, over the jet's engine, like so many "F-you" in yo faec. Fortunately, a shapeway kit fixed that but WTF, designers? That's one cruel joke.

Yes,I think this toy,while not perfect,worked well it limitations
*Transforming between forms
*Having eletronics
*Combining with Leader Class Optimus Prime
*Not being a part-former

ROTF Mudflap I think its one of the first toys where I go like "I dont care for this anymore".His transformation is so hard for the wrong reasons.

Crossovers venom
Cw ultra Magnus since I'm scared I'll break his legs sometimes in transformation
Cw motor master becuase its difficult to cleanly hide and peg in the combiner head and crotch plate.
