I especially like the Animated version because the helmet covers most of those annoying Animated facial aesthetics. The Animated body aesthetic is very feminine as well. She looks a lot like the Beast wars screen model, plus she turns into a spider. After writing this, I think Im gonna buy one for my CHUG shelf. I had no Beast Wars stuff when this figure was in stores, but now I see the potential she has for CHUG.
You gotta be patient with Beast Wars because it is just now reaching the age where the homage value is coming into play with 90’s kids all grown up ready to buy. We have seen a host of both Hasbro and Funpub Beast Wars homages in recent years and Im sure more are coming.
We almost had a CHUG Silverbolt, but the contest was overwhelmed with Japanese fans who wanted a stupid Goshooter from a mold that isn’t even a headmaster. I was hoping for Silverbolt myself because the Grimwing mold works so well. And Im sure someone would have designed a better head to make it even better. The only good thing about that fan contest was that it proved the Sunstreaker, Bluestreak, and Ironhide molds are still intact and ready to deliver some Diaclone goodness if us fans call for it enough.
Oh god no, you did NOT compare Airachnid's toy with BW Blackarachnia!
Agreed with the missed oportunity of a new Silverbolt, though.

Nemesis Maximo wrote:I agree with all of these except Silverbolt. Beast Machines Silverbolt was very disappointing, especially coming off of Beast Wars.

Actually Air Razor did get an update in the form of a pre-earth cybertronian mode by funpub. Its pretty cool. on Blackarachnia, while im no fan of her coptor mode, I still count it as a homage. As ststed earlier, I prefer the animated figure. I would love to see funpub redeco it with more orange and no purple. That would work for me. I would rather see hasbro focus on scorponok and terrasaur and inferno who dont have an older mold that can be properly redecoed.
Tell swoop good part kup.

Oh also a better night scream then the piece of crap they managed to put out. They even got it right the second time around with the air attack primal.
