This peroxide treatment does NOT reverse yellowing. It is further altering the plastic in some other way.
It might be fine, it might mean that in a few years the toy yellows even faster than before.
They don't know and most of the people who claim to know are shooting bull.
(My wife is a chemical engineer. We've discussed this. It'll work, but the side effects and chemical change of the peroxide is not known yet.)
lol, I find it highly amusing and totally awesome that you've discussed this at length with your wife. My girlfriend usually starts spacing out within 5 minutes of me blathering on about anything to do with Transformers. At least she loves "Me Grimlock".
On the topic of the thread, I didn't read everyhthing, but sadly even my Cybertron Reissued RID Prime & Magnus are experiencing tire cracks. And they're even newer than the originals. It must just be the formula of the rubber they used. Furtheremore, there must be something about the white plastic too, as some of my RID figs have begun to yellow as well. It's strange, because right above them is my nice pristine-white vintage Jetfire, and he's supposed to be one of the more susceptible ones.
