While the IDW comics are G1 canon, they aren't G1 show canon. In other words, whatever head he has on the toy is accurate to the comics, not the show. But yes, I would like to see some 3rd party company come up with an alternate head for Orion.

These are IDW comics toys. This is IDW Bumblebee's toy.

but Bumblebee doesn't even look like that in the comics. He looks like the WFC figure! I'd have much rather had a repaint of that and a new mold of someone else. There's no shortage of characters from the comics who'd be really good to have in Deluxe size. I'm half surprised there's no Chromedome, what with everyone who wants one just having got FP's version for 3 times what a Hasbro one would cost.

I believe the new Legends-scaled Bumblebee that comes with Blazemaster looks like the WFC-esque depiction of Bumblebee. This is an earlier version of IDW's Bumblebee, not the one we're talking about.

I'm looking at the latest issue of Robots In Disguise and he's got his WFC/FOC body same as everyone else who was in those games who is in these comics. Virtually all the rest have pre-Earth modes as well, what with everything being reset along with Cybertron when they beat that thing that totally wasn't Unicron.

The Deluxe sports the old look for IDW Bumblebee, as he had in the ongoing series, and his solo miniseries. I wasn't a fan of it then and I'm still not now, glad they changed it. Thanks for the heads up on the Cyberverse/Legends one though, he looks great!

Faith in Hasbro restoring...

Blitzwing will be in my collection and so will Springer. My Defender will be going up on eBay soon. We need a better look at the new Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

YES PLEASE to Flywheels repaint/remolded head. And Sandstorm will no doubt not get his own mold and just get repainted/remolded head from Springers Coz Dat how Hasbro Rollz yo! REPAINTS ALL ROUND!

I'm just glad they knocked it out of the park with the Generations/FoC figures because sure didn't do any justice to the Beast hunters figures. They lost me on Blitzwing though. If that is, in fact, a TFA face on him then I'm not touching it with a 10 foot cattle prod. The others are looking pretty damn cool and they did an amazing job on the IDW figures. Orion Pax is an instant Buy On Sight and same with Megatron. I thought I'd be saving a bit of money this year on figures again but it looks like I may have to open my wallet a bit.

Actually, Blitzwing appears to have a face changing gimmick, so you can either have Icy Blitzwing or G1 Blitzwing.

If they were smart they would redeco Springer and Blitzwing into Battletrap and Flywheels.

I wouldnt go that far but I will be getting this Springer. He will be battling Wreck-Gar on my Junkion Shelf and Defender will go with the movie Autobot crew (City Commander, Protector, Valkarie, Kup, Blurr, Hot Rod)in a seperate display.

And Battletrap will no doubt be considered for a repaint

Nah, I bet he does, but you probably have to rotate that entire beige piece which likely doesn't look too good when you do (which would explain why they refrained from doing so when taking his vanity photos).
