IMO,Getting these two feels like buying the "no frills/generic/cheap" versions.

I'm happy & satisfied with owning RTS Wreckgar & RTS Thunderwing.

Had RTS Thunderwing been a voyager sized toy. then I might consider buying a voyager sized black shadow.

I watched the entire 1989 TF Victory cartoon series. black shadow was only in one episode. greatshot defeated both blackshadow & blubaccious in one quick scene that barely lasted a few minutes. Blackshadow got no fleshed out persona. Apparently this episode was to show off Greatshot & push his status quo to the top. while pushing the other two under the bus & making them look inferior & like garbage.

I love RTS Thunderwing because simon furman did a amazing job fleshing out his 3-D persona in the marvel TF G-1 comics. and then again in the IDW TF G-1 comics.

I have ZERO desire to buy RTS Junkheap. as Wreckgar was the only junkion to receive a fleshed out persona. none of the other junkions got any decent persona.

Seems I was spot on with that observation. Of the two unique Junkions, Junkyard/Junkheap was the one shown in trade with other lifeforms. How bizarre.

Black/Sky Shadow looks frickin' amazing. As obscure a character as they decided to pull, they did a superb job - especially from an already used mold.

Junkheap looks good enough that I might have to get multiple, just to build up my Junkion army. And to give Wreck-Gar something to ride >:oP

Dude, Blue Bacchus and Black Shadow were in nearly the whole of that episode. Well more than a few seconds.

Thanks for the side by sides, I think that both of these are bought on sight, but if I never see them I will not be worried. They are nice to haves, not the must haves that Wreckgar and Thunderwing were. I guess I can sell that second Wreckgar I picked up too.

Black/Sky/Dark Shadow is that rare retool/repaint that actually improves on the original. Very nice.

Here's some clarification.

"Black Shadow" = character's name

"Sky Shadow" = toy's name (like how Straxus's toy was called "Darkmount")

"Dark Shadow" = no such thing. It was a typo mistake.

Really? I rolled my eyes at the thought of them putting him over as a big enough bad ass that Megatron fears him. Isn't Overlord enough of that kind of thing? Keep shoehorning characters Megatron fears into the fiction and he seems like a sissy. Just my opinion.

The figure looks okay if not a bit boring. The remolds are nice touches and I applaud the effort. I'll add him to the collection because I like the mold but I still don't care about the character for good or ill. Junkheap looks about as good as expected. Two will be plenty, I think. Let's hope the next usage of the mold is a better homage to Junkion native colors.

Once again the fine folks of the Transformers Galaxy Hong Kong Fans Group have shared a great gallery of an upcoming figure. This time we get a look at Generations Junkheap, complete with packaging shots with bio. Check em' out below.

Assembled and raised in the scrap pile, JUNKHEAP is a supremely resourceful bot. It was he who helped orchestrate the repair and reboot of the disabled ULTRA MAGNUS. The mighty AUTOBOT was so impressed with the talent of JUNKHEAP that he encouraged AUTOBOT RATCHET to spend extended leave on Planet Junkion to hone his repair skills.

Both Wreckgar and Junkheap should've come with a dang gun as well. I dislike melee weapons on TF's as their primary weapons.

Believe it or not, there have been some depictions of Megatron in which he was incompetent and/or pitiful (looking at you, Marvel G1 Megatron as written by Bob Budiansky).
