Skids and Screech are garbage.
Do you even collect G1?

I do and I concur with Blurrz.

Why? Is there something wrong with the toys themselves, or is it more of a crime against nature?

I'm really not sure what the problem is with them.
Granted, I don't like the Skids mold from G1, but don't those molds use the Cross-cut head and come with the Diaclone scooter?
Really now, price aside, what was so wrong with them?

So will you have to pre-order the book from them for this?

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Yeah, I've got some G1. But regardless of that, I just don't feel it with them. And to an extent ... Animated Elite Guard Optimus Prime isn't even 'that' great either. It's color scheme is nasty, and the placement of it's Elite Guard symbol is just odd. So yeah, I don't think Million Publishings' record is that great, sans Mirage, Screamer and now this beauty.

And I'd disagree about those two as well. We already had a blue transparent Mirage so a black transparent Mirage wasn't really an original idea, nor was it really a desirable toy. Transparent ghost Starscreams are desirable to me but not necessarily original. Neither figure brings a whole lot to the table unless you are into the whole transparent toy craze.
Original characters or mold repaints into new characters are something desirable to a much wider audience, much moreso than than the 5th or 6th repaint of a mold the majority of us already own. I'd say Stepper is the first hit out of the ballpark for them.
