Motto: "That sound you hear is the roar of a Mach 5 engine speeding your way!"
Weapon: Double-Barreled, Armor-Piercing Particle Beam Cann...
You can tell some of the design came from those stupid Bakugan things, what with the spring loaded gimmick and all, but Bakugan got it right. PCC ain't even close.

You know I can't believe I never figured that one out. I guess because my son is barely 3 and will never touch that crap as long as I'm breathing.
Looking to acquire a complete set of the G1 Insecticons (Bombshell, Kickback, and Shrapnel). They dont have to be MISB, have the cards. The TRU re-issues are fine too. The only person that can verify my buying status is CounterPunch as he is the only person I have purchased from.

Transformers had the spring-loaded transforming gimmick long before Bakugan.

Sure, but PCC certainly has a Bakugan feel. And TFs use of spring loaded gimmicks didn't open the vehicle mode, completely like this does.

I was referring to the old Machine Wars (Hoist, Hubcap, Mirage, Prowl, Megatron, Megaplex, Thundercracker, & Skywarp) & Beast Wars (Terrorsaur, Rattrap, Razorbeast, Iguanus, Snapper, Armordillo, Insecticon, etc.) basic class figures which did go straight from alt to robot without any other steps except what would generally be involved with posing a figure.

I believe the 1985 Jumpstarters also autotransform in a single step, as did the Decepticon Battlechargers. I think the more recent Beast Machine deployers were also single step transformations.

As far as whether something feels Bakuganish, I'd have no way of knowing.

Edit: Of course, with regards to automated transformations, everything pales next to the awesomeness of Starcom.

Yeah, I used to climb on a chair and hang them from the kitchen ceiling by the magnets.

My mom used to get so pissed!

Heh, sweet. I still have one of the bigger black spaceships and a couple of the guys. The ship's all beat up and missing half the accessories, but it still looks cool. A friend of mine had some too. Man, nostalgia is awesome.

Hmm...does anyone remember a line of actual battery-powered motorized space toys that had tiny little figures, smaller than Starcom? I vaguely remember for one Christmas I got some sort of moon-rover type toy that moved slowly on battery power and had lights and tiny figures. Sorry to derail the thread, but I'd love to know what these were, if they were an actual toy line at all.
