So, funny story. I successfully placed a preorder for Optimus on 9/24/12. I received the same two emails discussed by others in this forum over the last couple of days. Today, I ended up placing a new order for the $119.00 priced Optimus. As of this posting, the second Optimus I ordered is on its way. Of course, my preorder still shows in stock and located. Because of this, I really doubt Toys R Us wanted to let this guy go at the $99.00 preorder price. Since I preordered it at this price, when mine actually shows up, I'm planning on going to a physical store to get the difference back. This has been a ridiculpus journey to acquire Optimus through Toys R Us's website and with that said, I'm not planning on preordering any other items from them. I just don't see how Optimus could be found at retail prior to preorders being filled or even new orders such as the one I had placed today. Way to gouge and be greedy Toys R Us. Best of luck to everyone that preordered him and to those still trying to grab him at the retail stores!

I just received a shipping confirmation with tracking number from TRU. UPS results for tracking show a label has been created. I would be celebrating right now, but I am afraid to jinx it. I keep expecting to get another email about a delay or a "nah just screwing with you" note. So hopefully everyone will finally start getting their pre-orders shipped now. Good luck ;)^

Here's some good news for everyone. I called TRUs customer service line about the new Optimus posting and posed this question for them - if I ordered the new listing, would I be able to get it for the $99.99 price of my preorder? They said yes! Since I qualified for the two day shipping, I'll have him by Friday. How awesome is that? Everyone that has him or is getting him, enjoy!

it's good to hear some people are getting their MP OP, I'd hope to hear some good news regarding my pre-order soon:

ordered on September 24th, qty 1.

was supposed to be delivered on October 15th, new shipping date: You can expect to receive your item(s) between 11/08/12 and 11/13/12.

I'd like to get it at $99.99 + tax, because I still have to pay about $51 to get it in my country... :HEADHURTS:

I think I will celebrate when he comes in by kicking back and watching some G1 and enjoying a frosty beverage, all while breathing a sigh of relief that it all over. At least until the next MP release :lol:

Haha amen to that! A cold one will sound damned tasty and well deserved once he's here ... As for the next one, mine is Soundwave (from BBTS, so I doubt it'll be NEARLY the headache haha)

What really grinds my gears is that the item is still in their website as "in stock" so either they got the motherload of all MP Prime in their distribution center, or their is going to be one major backorder if they don't close the flood gates now.

I just received my confirmation email with the tracking number! I of course, ended up with the same two emails everyone else received prier to this one. My "expect" date was the earlier 11/7/12 date. Funny thing is, I was on the phone working out a "please, please hold the last one for me" at the only TRU I knew he was at, 95 miles from my home. I was going to have a family member who lives there go get it for me when wham!!!! Your item has shipped email arrives! All I can say is thank you G-d!! I was hating the "squeezed into desperation" scenario. I believe we will finally see the end of this whole mess, or at least until they run out again. I truly hope those with the latter date will start to confirm their shipping status so we can all breathe easier. It would probably be near impossible to get him here where I live, based off the fact that the only TRU in any descent driving range is only a small store and a lot of the "exclusives" never even make it here. I wish everyone the very best on this. I hope these few signs of movement, will bring a little relief! :grin:

Yes, I intended that bad reference. We all know that somehow the words to describe this mess, just doesn't fit. The preorder was total ....! :shock:

There is free shipping on orders of $49 or more so get to it.

Just got mine on Saturday! My local Toys R Us still doesn't have them, but the one a little further away, second closest store, had Three when I paid a visit. so... YAY!!!

Welp, looks like my preorder came through at the $99.99 price...can't go wrong there! It just took forever and a day! I guess I'll see which is the best of the two I ordered and take the other one to the local TRU for a refund. Best of luck people!

My preorder shipped late tonight! I just got the email about 30 minutes ago.

This has all been crazy but at least it was finally filled. I still can't believe they sent out the "delayed" email and I even called and they 1st rep I spoke to stated this was correct. Oh well, now I'll have 2 at the $99 price point. Guess I'll keep the one that appears to be in the best shape! As someone said earlier, thank goodness this is all over! Whew!

This figure blew me away! It has really good detail, by my standards, just awesome. Fingers somewhat articulate, head looks amazing. Transformation is beyond cool. Will I get a second one? Oh yeah you bet I will. :BOWDOWN:

Off topic, but Hasbro should really fire the guy who poses and photographs their toys. The truck mode is mistransformed around the headlights, and bot mode's shoulder hinges are showing. Compared to Takara's promo pics, this is disgraceful.

Just checked my tracking number again and they must have sent these pre-orders next day delivery because mine shipped last night and is showing its scheduled for delivery today :shock:
