As much as I am loving this set I wish it made him taller. At least as tall as the Tanker set makes G2 Optimus. He'll still be dwarfed by Protector Rodimus.

Thought I'd update this thread - I had preordered this from Robotkingdom back in June, and got this email yesterday:

"Dear customer,

Robotkingdom were attempting to contact Transbot Production for arrival schedule of this item for many weeks, however the producer has made no response and we are unable to locate the manufacturer at the moment.

I was really looking forward to this kit, but at this point in time, the Transbots concern seems to have gone AWOL. :sad:

I asked Robotkingdom for a refund, as I want to get funds towards the Maketoys SG Battle Tankers, and hopefully won't have to chase them about it (I did have to get a refund from them a while ago, and it took ages to get from them)

My thinking on this is, if Transbots resurfaces, and shores up some quantities, I'll be happy to re-order, but, at this point, if they can't even return RKs emails, it seems a little pointless holding out beyond hope for it to show....

Just to confuse things, the X-Transbots Powerglide boxes teased G1 Galvatron on the back... and that's been about a year ago now too, IIRC. :sad:

Trouble is, I really want to make this now using a Classics Galvatron for the chest piece, but my customising skills are neglible - does anyone know of, or have links to, a similar custom thread that would suit? I've searched, but couldn't find anything immediately to hand....

The guys who made Powerglide are a different group than the guys who were going to make this upgrade kit. They just share an extremely similar name. Just one has a dash and one does not.

The guys who made Powerglide are just another name for CHMS. They showed a prototype for their effort a long while ago, back when KOToys was still around. It was going to be "Masterpiece sized", but it didn't look to have Masterpiece sized engeneering.
