Netflix or Ebay?
Both netflix and ebay have the entire seasons of transformers so I looking for input from fellow transformers fans. Would you rent from netflix or just buy from ebay? I have dial up so watching for free on the Internet is not an option at this time. I tried downloading an episode of G1 and 4 hours later it was still only about 1/4 of the way done. I accidentally messed it up so all that time was for nothing. I never did get to see it

Personally I use NetFlix, it's cheaper and I can order several other DVDs for the price. I currently have the 6 at a time plan, it's only $36 a month. Figure you get 6 DVDs a week (sometimes more) that's 24 DVS a month for less than you'd pay on eBay for the full season.

Rent the discs. Then make your own copies of the discs using software such as DVDFab.
If you rent something and then return it the next day, you could possibly watch that DVD 6-8 times. So, as long as you don't watch your copied DVDs more than 8 times, you are not, in my opinion, doing anything "morally" wrong. You are just delaying the time in which you plan to view your DVD rental which you have already paid for.
Copyright law will say different, of course, but when it comes to paying for watching reruns of something that was shown for free on television, I find copyright law quite archaic.
Or think of it this way: if you rent, a portion of the money will go back to those who own the licence for the DVDs. If you buy from ebay, no money goes back to those who hold the licence.
This is all a moot point though as Netflix does NOT have any G1 cartoons. The DVD rights expired and the DVDs are no longer available for sale.
