I regret buying everything I no longer want... Prime line!!!

I regret buying most of the 6-inch Titanium line.

I regret buying ROTF Leader-class Jetfire.

That's about it off the top of my head.

I regret not picking up classics Ramjet or the Skywarp/UM two pack. I was really big on not getting redecos/remolds at the time, and since I already had Starscream... but now I really miss having all 6 seekers.

i had the UM/SW set... and sold skywarp. i had just gotten henkei's SW and decided i didnt need two SW's. which really sucks cause now i have 95% of everything made from that seeker mold, so now im going for completion. ugh... why oh why did i sell him...

I regret letting my parents convince me to get rid of all my toys when I was growing up, which included several beast wars figures (mostly transmetal) I really want back now: Rampage, probably not 100% complete; Scavenger, the name-on-leg variant; a 100% complete Optimal Optimus (Somehow! All four missiles, all arm shields, and the gun!); Dinobot; Magnaboss and several others... actually, let me add that I regret choosing magnaboss over tripredacus.

I regret having so MANY TFs. I'm moving out and damn, does it take FOREVER to pack!

I regret not being able to get ver2 of MP Hotrodimus. The fear of having exploding shoulders scared me from not committing.

Usually no regrets purchasing.

I do occasionally sell figures off, but more due to the fact that they don't fit in my collection themes, and not that its a bad toy.

As for regrets /not/ purchasing...

Alot of the universe 2.0/henkei stuff.

Well over the years i've managed to buy some I missed, albiet at a marked up price.

Still missing some, which were extremely common back then though.

they are damn hard to find. about six months ago i went on the hunt for one, and its a pain in the ass just trying to distinguish between V1 and V2. i got one, and i honestly cant tell you if its better or not. im to scared to do anything other than pose him.

I bought Hasbro MP Rodimus back then. Had to buy it from Ebay because of that classic TrU's "no quebec" bullshit. I transformed him only ONCE into a vehicle and back to robot. I deeply regretted the 90$ shipped it cost me. Transforming him is NOT fun at all for a very underwhelming vehicle mode. Also, holding weapons is near impossible. I hated him so much.

A few months later, I sold it back on Ebay for the same ammount. Without any regrets at all. At least, for roughly 40$, I could "rent" MP Rodimus and try it out. A bit expensive but still.

I regret giving all my G1 toys to my little cousins. I knew they would end up broken or worse and I cringed as I was handing them over. Last I heard of them, their dad became upset over them for whatever reason and he dug a hole and buried them in it and then poured cement over the hole.

Before I started collecting, I had a bunch of my G1 toys in the loft/attic.

I got them down and traded them to a girl who'd left her number with the charity shop down the road incase any came in for a blue 5gb iPod mini, which later died of old age.

Among them was a Pristine G1 Brainstorm, Darkwing, Dreadwind, PM Optimus, all the protectobots except blades, G2 Optimus Prime, Beast Wars Optimal Optimus, Beastwars Basic Insecticon, G2 Rapido....

The list goes on.

The only remnants I have of my original collection now are G2 Laser Prime, Motorvator Gripper, Double Targetmaster Scoop, Beast Wars Deluxe Cybershark, and some Knock off G2 decepticon Cyberjets. Curiously I still have the black tank cannon from Double Targetmaster Quake.

The girl, I was only later informed by a friend who works for autism initiatives, had servere autism and is a self professed mechasexual. She added me on facebook, where she was most often seen harrassing the owners of Titan the robot about how she was in love with him and she wanted to marry him, and they needed to take back the restraining order so that they could be allowed to marry.

I shudder everytime I think that I accidentally traded my childhood PM Prime into sexual slavery.

I just came here to say I regretted not buying Platinum Omega Supreme before it was sold out at BBTS, but man, now I am just trying to wrap my mind arounf that crazy story.

I regret getting rid of my animated collection, though not the couple of pieces I gave to the children's hospice, those kids would love them more then me.

I kid. Lol. There are a number of figures that left me with buyers remorse - FoC Jazz & Shockwave, TFP Knockout & Hot Shot, and several Bot Shots that failed to actually pop open when crashed, just to name a few - but they ultimately led me to the MP line. So in that sense I can't complain too much.

The number of figures I get a year has dropped dramatically, but I'm 100x happier.

It cost me a few pennies, but that black Lucky Draw Magmatron is finally mine and finally standing in bot mode next to his nemesis, the TRU Japan exclusive Black Big Convoy . The one I got was AFA graded and all that, but the first thing I did when I got him was crack open that acrylic display case, pull him out of his box and combine him into bot mode. I don't sell my toys, so I disregard any concern about depreciating the value by opening him up and displaying him/playing with him. 1 out of only 10 in existence and he is MINE, muahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !

I regret not buying the UM/SW two pack when I had it in my hand, on clearance for 9.99, two different times. UGH!

I regret buying the DTOM Takara Jetwing Optimus Prime.
Sure, that remold is great and the jetpack is awesome. It just that I already own Buster Optimus Prime with his partner from the 2 pack, Takara Jetfire. For me, he's the defenitive OP with the chrome at the right places and that overall premium feel. Combined with Jetfire, he just breathes power. Jetwing, he's just... plain... No chrome at all. Also, the jetpack is just one giant piece of kibble that dont transform.

Finally, and I bet many fans will blow a gasket over this, is I think Ultimate Optimus Prime is way better looking, is more awesome, and is a overall better toy than Jetwing Optimus. No, seriously. Having the Buster 2 pack and Ultimate OP, Jetwing is just underwhelming.

If you don't have a ROTF Leader Optimus Prime mold in your collection, or just have the regular ROTF or HFTD version, having the Takara Jetwing Optimus would be a great addition to your collection. But for me, I feel it was just an impulse purchase and that money could have been better spendt elsewhere. So, I'm selling it on Ebay (I also have extra weapons for it too!).

Yeah, it's odd, but it's possible to regret buying a great toy!
