Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

...whoa, that fits. Primus The Hedgehog going up against Unicron Robotnik. Same evil face, bad mustache, and planet sized body.
How awesome.

To be blunt, those who paid top dollar for the original toy probably aren't that fussed about a new version and those who didn't pick it up for whatever reason probably aren't going to change their mind over a repaint. I think the main customers for this will be people who missed the boat first time or who didn't buy it first time and are suffering remorse.
Except you can still get the original Cybertron Primus for WAY cheaper than this guy will cost. Which is why I'm not even going to get my hopes up about owning this one, as awesome as I think it looks.
Except for the G1 Primus, thats still big bucks. I own one myself, and I have 2 hasbro ones for display. So if this is now the G1 primus, what's the deal with the already released G1 packaged primus, and how will this one be labelled, we already have Primus 00.

Maybe a higher resolution pic will make me like the colors more. Even if it did, however, I'm not in a hurry to add another Primus to my collection. The guy takes up A LOT of room with all those spikes sticking out.
I totaly agree with you there. Thats the first thing I noticed. If we all keep noticing these things why are they doing these mistakes. I'm pretty sure it's becuase some one high up in marketing made them change it so there was a more different look in robot mode, hoping to sell more.
