And I'm fine with that. It's not like this franchise is famous for strict continuity adherence between entries. It looks like a big loud action-packed Transformers movie. As long as there's none of the awful stuff from AOE or TLK then I'm here for it.

Apparently Mirage has given Noah an exo-suit, as he's hanging on the back of Bumblebee's vehicle mode in the last shot of the trailer. I'm into it. That, or it's a miscolored Arcee.
Wheeljack's head fins. A Compromise, but gladly accepted. Awaiting the Studio Series toy.

Nearly 30 odd years of gestating later ...

I agree. Watching purely for the mindless entertainment not the plot as it seems there is no continuity or coherency.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

So my wife was gone and I got bored. So I went back and looked at the actual ratio of positive vs negative posts. It's actually just a tad under 93% negative. The tears and gnashing of teeth really make me ashamed. It's sad when I have to go to Facebook to see positive feedback. So Why is that? I suspect it's because this trailer tickles the fancy of the general populace pretty darn well and may go a long way in helping people forget The Last Knight (even though it still grossed nearly two thirds of a billion dollars). The only people unhappy seem to be the whiners on here.

I'm gonna buck a couple trends just in response to your comment:
-I am a movie-verse TF fan first and foremost, and I love this
-I unironically like TLK and what it was doing and setup, and would like to see that story concluded officially
-Bayverse Prime is my Optimus Prime.
-I avoid Facebook mostly because it is ridiculously negative (I am opposite of Cyber Bishop, I enjoy twitter and the fandom there and generally do not like Facebook fandom)
that said, you counting 93% negative truly is sad.
But I love this trailer and I love what the movie looks like i will do. so if I have to be that ray of positive, so be it.
I am excited dammit!!!!
The director himself said this movie will be for minorities and it will be hip hop themed. Obviously that was the focus, not an actual good Transformers story.Fortress_Maximus wrote:Visually looks good but the terrible music is a genuinely horrid. I agree about it having a lot to offer, visually at least. It just irks me that 1 of the creators himself dismissed the source material right away in favor of social justice commentary. But I won't lie, it looks good. But so did all the others, and they were hit and miss, more miss on the story side.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:The director himself said this movie will be for minorities and it will be hip hop themed. I think you are putting way too thought into those words. Especially since the music/trailer is really cool and it is looking like the movie will have a lot to offer.

Based on my Twitter feed from yesterday afternoon, no you are not the only one.

Same. My gut says intentional, it would be nice for Energon to get a nod for once.

I don't know what that means. I also don't have Twitter.-Kanrabat- wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I agree about it having a lot to offer, visually at least. That was just the director appeasing his ESG overlords and to appeal to that mythical "modern audience" that only exist on Twitter.
Bayverse films have messages?Based on the movies track records, I'm sure (or hope) that to find any "message", one must really look for it.
Like I wrote before, I'm sure I'll hear about it in another month. I might look at it on streaming somewhere once it's available, strictly for the Transformers aspects. Assuming it will be more than 50% of the movie.I consider the Transformers movies like McDonald's. It's not that good, but it's still satisfying to eat. Bee's was especially delicious so my expectations are high-ish for ROTB.
Rodimus Prime wrote:I don't know what that means.
Ok, got it.-Kanrabat- wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I don't know what that means.
You don't know what is ESG?
The TlDr is it's an organisation that lend BILLIONS of dollars everywhere, all over the world, but at the condition that your company is "active socially" and "send the right message."
Ah yes. Much like the rest of Transformers mediaOh and as for the Bayverse movie "message", it's easy: BUY STUFF!
