Well, for starters, this one has knees, ankles, elbows, and neck articulation, all of which the original never had (since it was a brick).

I suppose that will be a trade-off from the minicon gimmicks like missile launchers and the auto-swapping of faction symbols.

All the complaints on social media and we know six months from now, he's gonna be hailed as the best one yet.

To me, he looks fine. I wasn't expecting him to be perfect because for that, we'd have to break the laws of physics. I want to see side-by-sides with the others.

While I would have preferred the ends of Sideways' batons/tailpipes be yellow-orange like the original toy as opposed to boring grey throughout, that is admittedly a nitpick and the rest of him looks nigh-perfect. He can hang out with his Cybertron self Noisemaze and scheme some nonsense, love it.

Onslaught/Bruticus' colors are gonna take a bit of getting used to after being used to basically every color scheme of Bruticus except the G1 cartoon colors, but the frame system keeping it from being 100% gray will definitely help. Leg proportions looks a bit off, but I swear people said similar things about both Superion and Devastator before they hit in-hand, so we'll see how it goes. Gonna preorder anyway, Combaticons are my favorite combiner crew and I nabbed Vortex already so I kinda have to even though I missed the preorders on Blast Off and Brawl, whoops...

I totally didn't expect to see this ol'boy on the shelf. There were about 3 or 4 I think. Fortunate for me and my wallet it was an easy pass. Now I'm hoping we will see Trypticon hit shelves for me to pick up for my brother which would be his first Titan Class TF. :VEHI:

overall I'm digging this too, but for me looking at the overall proportions, the issue isn't the legs. they are proportionate with the torso/head. the issue is actually the arms. its because of how far off the sides of the torso they sit, and how thick and long they are that make the rest of it seem stumpy.

I'm the same. Overall, he's incredible. I can't help but wonder if the blue knees being silver would make him look a bit better. It's weird. I think that might "fixed" the perceived leg "issue".

naa, its definitely the arms. here's a crude digibash. I think this is a case of the transforming after attaching the vehicles to the arm frame gimmick actually hurting rather then helping. either way, im sure there will be unteen hundred bazillian third part fixes just like there has been for every other single combiner ever.

Either way, I'm eager to get my grubby fat mitts on this set, as Bruticus has always been my fave combiner.

Swindle's got a trailer to make up the voyager Price point.

Light lavender or olive would match the trailer he used in 'B.O.T.' Or if it had 4 wheels and Swindle's brown coloration, it could represent the apparent chunk of his own alt mode that Swindle lifts off himself after Defensor blows up Bruticus at the beginning of that episode. Actually, it'd be cool if the price-point-bulk-up had been B.O.T. itself...if TFWiki hadn't decided that was the worst ep of all time. Of course, the trailer homages the one segment that everyone seems to remember fondly.

The arms do feel a little "gorilla" long? I dunno. I still think he looks amazing either way, and yeah. 3rd party will undoubtedly step in.

Same. He's my favourite Decepticon combiner, with Defensor being my favourite Autobot one.

I definitely feel the proportions are off, but I also have a lot of doubts about stock photos after how bad Silverbolt looked and then how good he ended up being.

Either way, I want the set.

It has been sort of nice, these new ones are helping strike a balance between my old CW ones and the new ones:

AotP Superion is my Skybound Superion, while the old CW one still works great as the IDW one, plus the different limb configurations.

CW Devastator is the correct combiner scale, while SS Devastator scales with the other combiners and thus works for Skybound.

Legacy Menasor can replace the original (except I'm keeping Offroad) while Optimus Maximus works as that version of the CW mold.

And now this Bruticus will look great alongside Devastator for Skybound, while the original mold will be kept as my RiD Ruination.
I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please!

AotP Swindle First Look Plus Bruticus Prototype Shows Better Proportions

Transformers brand manager Nate Purswell (Transformers_Nate84) has been busy posting new images of Age of the Primes Swindle along with some shots of the Bruticus prototype on display at CCXP on his Instagram page. The biggest surprise is that Swindle comes with a trailer that itself transforms into Bruticus' gun! It can also be mounted to Swindle's shoulder in bot mode along with his more traditional Jeep gun and a smaller handgun.

As for Bruticus, people seem to think the proportions look better in hand than the stock images we got before. Decide for yourself.
