In the West Transformers: Prime may be grabbing all the attention but in Japan the fires of Animated are still burning strong. The latest release is the
Microbotsset, six tiny rubber figures representing Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Grimlock, Starscream and Blackarachnia. The figures are available from
gachapon machines for 100 yen each. Seibertron member Diem got his hands on a couple of the little guys and shares his thoughts with us:
Each figure has articulation in their shoulders and neck and accesories such as Starscream's wings can also be rotated, though the rubber is so stretchy that the joints are not very useful. Although they're not very posable they're incredibly cute and considering their low price (less than a dollar) they are very well painted.
