Transformers Animated Microbots: New Images

In the West Transformers: Prime may be grabbing all the attention but in Japan the fires of Animated are still burning strong. The latest release is the Microbotsset, six tiny rubber figures representing Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Grimlock, Starscream and Blackarachnia. The figures are available from gachapon machines for 100 yen each. Seibertron member Diem got his hands on a couple of the little guys and shares his thoughts with us:

Each figure has articulation in their shoulders and neck and accesories such as Starscream's wings can also be rotated, though the rubber is so stretchy that the joints are not very useful. Although they're not very posable they're incredibly cute and considering their low price (less than a dollar) they are very well painted.

Man, I really need a less crappy camera. Anyhow I ended up with a spare Starscream (that's right, I bought three figures and out of a possible six I got two the same) so if anyone desperately wants him please PM me.

I got the first wave of keychains for my son to hang on the Christmas tree. Really detailed and a nice addition for anyone who is into "superdeformed" robots. :D

Just to make it clear, these ones aren't keychains, just little rubber figurines.
