I'm a fan. But I also have my opinions, we all do, and we're allowed that. That said...
I'm looking forward to the new series. Yes, the designs will take getting used to but, whatever. I welcome the Transformers back to current cartoons. I'm not going to judge until I have actually seen the show with my own eyes.
Honestly, I didn't like Beast Wars at first. But, it was transformers, so I gave it a shot. Just give me my Transformers, and no one gets hurt.
BTW, I did like Beast Machines. Mostly because it was off of Earth and involved Cybertron.

For anyone who hasn't seen (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted .

By the same logic, I should also enjoy the Unicron Trilogy cartoons just because they're Transformers.
Meh.
I must not be a real TF fan, then (believe me, I am).
I'm looking forward to seeing how the new series pans out; I think it has a lot of potential. But if I don't like it, I'll stop watching.

That's cool. The term 'real fans' often causes a lot of heat.
Fact is, there's so much different stuff in Transformers, it's nigh on impossible to like everything. I don't put as much stock in the original cartoons as a lot of people do, and as I said, a lot of the AEC series I didn't bother with either.
But I loved Beast Wars and Beast Machines, and I'd love to see a lot more of RiD. I've always collected the comics and toys, too.

I really can't slagn' wait. I really want to see how jazz will be inturperitated(I fricken suck at spelling!) and the same goes with Magnus, Grimlock, Slag, Swoop, Soundwave, and Shockwave.

I'm more into the comic side now but i'll give it a fair chance, like i did each of the trilogy series.
I'm okay with stylized, though i'ld rather see a different style but look forward to seeing the range of this Primatron V/A
still, i don't see me buying a comic of it unless the story just rocked. I made that mistake with Armada...
TBAs for me...

I didn't care for the animation style at first, but I can't really fault them for wanting to try a new style of animation. Hell, we all love G1 and all the characters were pretty much glorified boxes with colours.
Then there are the little things, like Prime being a fire truck. In the long wrong I am sure it makes sense, but I like my big rigs, man!
Then there is the fact that the voice actor for Prime (David Kaye) is also Sesshomaru in Inuyasha. At least it makes me laugh, but that will take some time getting use to it.
Still, with all the little quirks, I am most interested to see another resurection of Transformers and what someone else will do with it, and for that I will certainly give it a shot.
