We have a quick update for those of you still following the DeNA mobile device game Transformers: Battle Tactics, courtesy of their official Facebook page. A new episode starts today, featuring the latest (classic) combiner team on the block: Computron's Challenge! Find out more below.

The Technobots have entered the battlefield! From August 6th through August 12th you'll get to gather Scattershot, Afterburner, Lightspeed, Nosecone and Strafe in order to recruit the amazing combiner COMPUTRON!

I know but it's kinda a teaser for CW Computron too...

Not really, all the Technobot sprites are based on the G1 toys, like Bruticus and Piranacon. The combiners that take after their CW toys in this game are Menasor, Superion, Defensor, and Devastator.

Is this thing still being updated?

If not I would be happy to carry on, I still play this game full time.

Feel free! While we aren't going to put new events and such on the front page as news anymore (barring something insanely earth shattering), I'm sure there are others playing too.

I actually just started playing this about a month ago when I got a new Fire tablet, never enjoyed the tiny screen experience on my phone. It is not easy to stay competitive without spending money. Possible, but takes awhile.

Oh, then there isn't anything to really continue...

This game devolved faster than Legends. A shame, as it actually has somewhat entertaining gameplay.

This last event broke me. Grinded it out the whole way, doing as much as I could using the Energon I could get from the daily hand-out, gold from the Stronghold (could only complete up to "Hard" difficulty), and the gold from my daily gold card (I don't mind buying them, $3 for a lot of gold over time!)

League pretty much didn't help, and all the grinding did even on solo rankings put me in basically just a treading water kind of position for the last four days of it. My rewards for all that work were yet another Sideburn I don't need and some other crap items.

Probably going to recruit Carzap since I only need a few more of some core to do it, but idk how much longer I can stay invested in this.

I've stopped playing regularly since I went back to school. Only pitched in a little on some events, skipped some entirely. I did a little on this last event but right now I'm lucky I have excess Alpha, beta, and Omega cores so I just need to finish collecting Carzap cores to get him.

It's sad that Dena doesn't understand the concept of not trying to money-rape the player base with constant events.

After a difficult event, I've kicked a group of non-supporting players out of Blackrock Industries, and thus we have several openings. Here are the rules:

Everyone must reach these minimums for regular PVP-style events:

• At least 10,000 points by end of first full day.
• At least 75,000 points by end of third full day.
• At least 200,000 points by end of event.

For mini-events (most parts are two days), there is a modified schedule that emphasizes to get in quickly and keep playing.

• At least 20,000 points by end of first full day.
• At least 50,000 points by end of mini-event (2nd full day).

Stronghold minimums will be as follows:

• At least 10,000 points by end of first full day.
• At least 100,000 points by end of third full day.
• At least 250,000 points by end of event.

These minimums may seem high to novice players, but anyone with a moderately decent set of characters can achieve these minimums fairly easily without spending gold, so long as they simply play often enough to use most of their free energon.

Need to fill four slots at present. The six who remain are excellent players, and with some strong lower-players, we stand an excellent chance of breaking into top 200. Please PM me if interested.

2/25: That's today. The game will receive no further updates, and all updates that have been in the works are officially cancelled. Support, forums, and the Fan Page will remain open. There will be no events at this time until the Grand Finale.

3/4: The preview of the Grand Finale event will be posted to the forums.

3/10: TRANSFORMERS: Battle Tactics will be removed from the App Store, All options to purchase gold and Energon will be disabled, and the TFBT forums will also be closed.

3/11: The Grand Finale event will begin.

5/12: The Grand Finale event will end, the servers will be turned off, support will be closed, and Transformers: Battle Tactics will be no more .

DeNA's pay to win garbage re-skin of their tank game needed to be killed by Hasbro MONTHS ago. Death to all pay to win games from DeNA. Maybe Apple/Google will give refunds to people who bought in-game stuff.

Now G1: Awakening needs to be brought back and Earth Wars needs to come out of Beta.

You DO know that "Earth Wars" is yet another "pay to win" freemium game, and basically a reskinned version of "Clash of Clans" (itself a clone of other games), right?

If you look at all of the pay to win TF games, such as the card games, this one and Earth Force, it seems that Hasbo pulls the plug on these games in time for the launch of another version of the same game, or a new game.

This isn't the failure of these types of apps, it's the supposed success of them that allows them to be quickly created, unleashed, left to incubate cash, then assimilated back into the collective before a new style is adapated to the market. Heck, it even requires drones to "play" these cruddy offerings and/or a drone-like mentality to "play" them (i.e., not really thinking too much while playing them or care enough to really be invested in them).

Good the game was terrible and ran like crap, every update just made it crash more often. Its time to make a real Tf game for mobile devices, stop re-skinning these half assed pay to win garbage games and make a real game. Or just bring back G1 awakening, still pissed i cant get it back on my phone. But on another note is DeNA going under or something cause it seems like all their games have been closing down, marvel war of heros announced the other day its shutting down now this one today. Not to mention all the others that have shut down in the past year.

I'm currently playing Earth Wars, it's not hitting a pay to win level like TFBT did almost immediatly. Earth Wars also does require some strategy when laying out your base, and when which picking units with which abilities to take into a battle.
