Going back to the figure, I wonder if the limited one was based on BttF1 and comes with that pole and the more common one will be based on BttF2 and won't.
Because one has Mr. Fusion and one doesn't. And the one in the limited edition box isn't shown with Mr. fusion.

They both come with it. The Mr. Fusion is on the bsck of the gun in robot mode, as is the pole. It's just two different displays set ups, like the Lego one from a few years back

To be fair I'm looking forward to the October one because I don't care about limited editions and the like, I like to play with my toys and stuff the packaging into the nearest recycling bin
As for the exclusive thing, I think the same thing would have happened as long as the limited edition was a thing. That was the idea that should have been done away with. Just give Walmart it as a timed release.
If the rumours are true about the scale of the scalping, what's the best way to combat this? Aside from the obvious of course, that if no limited editions.

If that's the only difference then I'd be fine missing the limited edition. I hope it is the only difference.

Well, hoped to get a set but....

Guess I’ll wait for the more widely available October release and pray to God that they don’t pull a Fall of Cybertron Bruticus and make it in crazy colors, that’s the only reason I wanted the numbered release; there’s no guarantee it’s going to be the same one as the numbered one.

They could focus on making cheaper kid friendly figures that they wouldn't have to worry about being "good" because kids just want the characters. I mean I really have a big conspiracy theory but I also like people not thinking I'm crazy.

So after trying yesterday to order and the link not working I tried again today to see it was now no longer available. After checking eBay if there were any preorders there I was completely disappointed to see people charging 700$ for this toy. Not sure what happened with Walmart’s preorder but one would have assumed there we be a purchase limit as to this is a limited run. Here’s to Hasbro releasing more numbers of this toy. Definitely wanted him when I learned they were making it. 29.99$ was a very fair price. Any of you guys have luck grabbing a copy of him?

If we want to strike a blow against the scalpers, a good start would be to block EVERY seller of this figure on Ebay. Block them so you won't even be tempted to do business with them. If they are selling them, they got it using shady tactics. Hit them in the pocketbook

Unfortunately the vast majority of people who do business with these sellers shun social media groupings and wouldn't know or don't care the figure has been marked up.

I swear, It's almost like Hasbro did the limited release just for the scalpers. It was only $30, it was only available on Walmart's website, in the US only, and for some reason you could order up to 12 of them. Now they're all sold out. However there's good news! If you want your own you can still get them! They're on ebay for upwards of $600. Thanks Hasbro, thanks Walmart.
