I'm not much of a Joe fan, myself, but I HIGHLY recommend checking out the Devil's Due "G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers" crossover comics that inspired this Serpent O.R. toy. If for nothing else than the fact that these comics buck tradition from both series and choose instead to go off and do whatever crazy things they want. Cuz, darn it, they are so FUN!JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:But I have no real connection to G.I. Joe, so Serpent O.R. is on the bottom by default. I will acknowledge the creativity in the deco with the fangs, and the head, but nothing else.

Pretty sure they'll be using one of the Targetmasters instead of an Arms Micron for the 7th figure.Tranzilla wrote:Diaclone Shrapnel (Shrapnel) w/ Manterror (AM Magi)
Wasn't there supposed to be a Bombshell coming out for Legends?

Wait, what? Did I miss something, here?Midnight_Fox wrote:Interesting: G2 Starscream is going to be G1 Starscream via the immortal spark seen in BW built by the Star Seekers in the Knights of Cybertron Wings future.

1) Carzap
2) Nacelle
3) G2 Stsrscream
4) Krok
5) Tarantulas
6) Serpent O.R.

Had they used the Encore Starscream mold with the G1 Thrust wings, this would be a really unique figure to add to a collection, but using the Classics mold for the 31st (?) time as a character I could care less about that's slightly above a fan-fiction character just doesn't work for me.
If fact, the same would have to also apply to the likes of Acid Storm and any other generic from the G1 cartoon whose ever received their own toy.
You're missing my point. It has less to do with the name they put on it and more to do with what the toy is supposed to homage. Nacelle is an homage of a prototype that appeared in some early catalogs from Sears or Toy Fair. I'd rather have the actual toy of what was shown than have a toy that homages a prototype that we never received. Come out with that version first, then I might be more into this version.
Same with Carzap. The character, not the name or the deco, but the character shares the same origin as the likes of Sunstorm, Bitstream, and Hotlink. All four came from a brief scene in the G1 cartoon's first episode:as a character I could care less about that's slightly above a fan-fiction character
Note that this pic is old, made before Nacelle's identity was confirmed, hence the lack of certainty on the arrow pointing to Nacelle.

IMO, hasbro made that thing before they knew what they wanted to do with acid storm. because all the renditions that have followed have been way closer to the source material than the first "recognized" acid storm.
the rainmakers dont matter to me as i have the perfectly bright colored CHMS rainmakers on my shelf. but even if i didnt, that thing would not be representing acid storm in my classics display. he's a part of the oddities in the seekers display.
so to me, if hasbro wants to make "proper" rainmakers, they should call a mulligan on classics/generations acid storm and make three new rainmakers.
Gauntlet101010 wrote:Anyway, I don't see the point in making another, "better" Acid Storm. None of the Botcon Welcoming Committee Seekers matched their models, so why would they want to match character models that were even more bland? (although this veers the topic away from the main point).

I could go for one of those Asia exclusive 3 packs for the "Rainmakers" with a PROPER Sunstorm (the BotCon one doesn't work because it uses black instead of white), a variant of Acid Storm and then whatever blue or purple Seeker version they want to do.
