IDW's latest issue is a summary of sorts. We get Transformers Continuum, which looks to be a one-time thing - summarizing all of the events from Transformers: Infiltration, with Spotlights in between, capped off by the events of All Hail Megatron. Here's how IDW describes it...
Brush up on current TRANSFORMERS events with the CONTINUUM, a special 32-page, ad-free book that runs through all the key players and important events in the TRANSFORMERS universe so far! From their debut story in Infiltration all the way up through the end of All Hail Megatron—the CONTINUUM is an essential guide for every TRANSFORMERS fan!

You can check out the rest of the preview, thanks to BZZURKK, here. The Continuum is set for comic book stands on November 25th.

Why do this idw? You rebooted and retconed half of that and even thought of removing Megatron Origins from continuity so why recap this for the new series that will most likely have little to nothing to do with all of this?

i like they are making the effort to tie it all in and explain it all in brief detail in a separate book. this more importantly will help anyone who hasnt been reading everything up till the new series w/o buying up everything before it.
way to go IDW!

Forgive me, but the scripting in that is just plain awful! I sincerely hope Furman wasn't the one asked to put out this piss-poor excuse of a legend. I would be sorely embarrassed for him.
On a more positive note, it is nice to see IDW trying to connect the dots that is their TF-Verse.
Even if the writing did come from an 8th Grader.

If you own IDW's current output, I would suggest you save your money. I doubt new artwork is going to be featured in this.

I haven't been able to read any of the other ongoing comic series, so I'll pick this up. It looks cool.

I don't exactly remember the Seekers being "noble" in Megs origins. They were his hitmen, his thugs, and that was AFTER he already had established dominancy in the arena.
Still getting this though, despite the shaky storytelling, it should serve as a quick refresh on what happened so far and also put what the new ongoing series will acknowledge as cannon laid out on table to reduce our thumbing through back issues and scratching our heads.
In a place such as this, you are the perfect prey for a brest animal!

IDW can't keep its own story straight anymore.
You know IDW...you have other titles, but Transformers is really what you have. Perhaps you should take better care of your title that you know...people care about?

Exactly what he said.
So sad it should come to this. CODA To cover the link between Simon and Shanes work and now a book to link all three writers. They should have killed this series long ago. I am not purchasing this.
I find myself wanting a different publisher other than IDW to give the Transformers franchise a go.

Okay so I bought this and read it. I only read about half of the stories involved but knowing what I know for fact, alot of the statements of the book are wrong.
No. they didn't fight Thunderwing on Nebulos, it was Cybertron. Who are the "they" that Wheelie found in his Spotlight and didn't he get taken out be a radiation cloud, not Decepticons?
The Continuum was wrong. Man that really irks me.

Thunderwing on Nebulos was confronted by a Decepticon Infiltration team in Stormbringer #3.
Wheelie's ship was taken out by a radiation cloud. He ran into Spectro, Spyglass and a dead Viewfinder on the planet.

Thanks for the clarification on that. I read the Continuum again just to make sure I was reading it right. Overall it does give you the basics of EVERYTHING thats happened over the last 3 years and thats alot of ground to cover in 30 pages. Its a great piece for newcomers to get their hands on so they know where the story is so far.

There are mistakes in Continuum.
1. Megatron wasn't a slave. He was a miner but nothing indicated he was a slave. He had a job of which he was about to be laid off.
2. The last stand against Thunderwing by the Autobots didnt happen on Nebulos it happened on Cybertron. The Autobots didnt know where Thunderwing had been. Also, the Decepticons helped with the attack on Thunderwing on Cybertron.
3. Skywatch and the Machination were 2 different organizations. The Machination captured Hunter not Skywatch. The Machination had agents in Skywatch but Scorponok's plan was to set up and disgrace Skywatch, a government agency, to make way for his private company taking over their duties and expanding the Machination's power base in the government.
The last mistake is pretty unforgivable. There is no excuse for it getting past the editor.

yeah, Skywatch and the Machination part really stood out for me too.

also, this was made so people would know whats going on, but may make them even more confused. best part of this comic is the last page that says what reading order to read in.

This is the short, crappy, skeleton version of IDW's work. It's a shame. Sorry.
