Aside from the once-a-week news, there's no reason this thread couldn't be used for discussion. Even IF there were Autobot players around, what's the harm in sharing some tips?

At the end of the day, can't we all just get along and beat up TFW2005's Alliances?

I've been encouraging a cross faction pummeling of the TFW2005 alliances. Also, trouncing them on the alliance leaderboards.

It's both our long term, and short term, alliance goals.

(I did attack one of their bases a week or so ago... it made me smile)

All right... so I put the external chat to a vote.

A few of us signed up for Discord to give it a test run. We created a chat ( https://discord.gg/2znJHG7 not sure if that link still works since it had refreshed this morning, despite me telling it to never expire) and though it seemed stable and ran well on PC and mobile (and visually I like it better), we all agreed that the program b is better suited to PC gaming than to mobile, and likely has better options for use on a PC.

On mobile it uses my default notification tone with no abilty to change it. So I kept thinking I was getting a Twitter, weather, or system notification. It lacks customization on a very basic level (which is really odd in my opinion).

It also takes away basic control from the user. At least on mobile, I didn't try on my PC. Since I'm always on my mobile, it has to work with it. I couldn't control who entered the chat, as long as they had the link, they are free to enter. Meaning posting the link in my signature would not work. I like things by invite only. With Line, I invite people to chat and my Line ID only helps you find me.

Despite that, I could live with. I don't get particularly attached to a chat program.

However the general consensus so far had been overwhelming to stay with Line. Probably because of the mobile friendly platform (it was developed for mobile phones) and Kurthy can't live without his stickers.

Because it doesn't seem to be using any more battery than before installing it, I will leave that chat open, and will stay logged in, so you can use it, I just can't promise I will remember to turn it back on if I reboot. Unless the rest of the members out vote those that have already voted.

This might be news worthy. Transformers Devastation is free on PS4 for PS+ subscribers for October. Off topic, I know, but still cool I think.

I didn't see the old news post on the 28th.

When are they "fixing" Scourge/Strafe? That ability is beyond ridiculous at high levels. I'm starting to get very frustrated.

Before you say "use Tantrum", not an option. I only have a 2 star Tantrum and I need to go beyond the level 40 cap at this point.

Probably around the same time they "fix" Grimlock.

This may become a huge problem. I can't actually play anymore, unless I go down to a zone 1500 power under my team.

That was last week's update, and Scourge/Strafe did not get fixed in it.

And I wouldn'the exactly call them "obscure".

Seaspray: Bot side (G1 cartoon, post-86 Movie) was in a number of episodes... featured in a few. Seaspray was even referenced in TF: Prime. Wheeljack made a comment to Bulkhead that he got a transmission from Seaspray but before he couldied get to him, he had been killed.

Octopunch: Con side, now this I will give you on obscure as he was never in the G1 cartoon, but he did get a decent amount of exposure in the Marvel comics as part of the Mayhem Attack Squad. A version of him appeared in RID 2016, first season, I believe, kind of close in occupation (a scavenger) but with that typical RID Con personality.

Eh, doesn'the count until they put in all the Pretenders.

I kept bugging, every survey, for them, maybe they listen because there's a Pretender. But Octopuch? I was hoping for the first two waves of toys, Bomb Burst, Skullgrin, and Submaurader, Bugly, Iguanus, and Finback.

Personally, I think Submaurader or Findback, mainly Finback, would have been a better counterpart to Seaspray. I mean.. Octopunch's alt mode is a crab... a crab. OCTOPUNCH, play on words for octopus, is a CRAB. Maybe they'll use his shell as his at mode... but still, Finback at least is the same type of vehicle as Seaspray, it wold look visually better.

I personally always figured Octopunch and Stranglehold to be Bludgeon's personal squad. They did come out in the same wave as him (1989 Pretenders), and they do fit the theme of being monstrous humans rather than monsters.
So that's why I'm particularly happy about him~~

(Plus, if we're going counterparts, makes sense. Looking at Seaspray he seems to be based on his 2010 HFTD toy with some editing and a new head; much like Bludgeon. There was a Botcon SG Octopunch that was a redeco of that mold, so...)

I get what your saying Kurona, I just wish it had been the first wave Pretenders is all.

But like Kuuga says, they add the characters by what Hasbro is pushing for toys. I seriously doubt we're going to see first wave Pretender toys any time soon.

I'd love to, though. Bomb Burst became a particular favorite of mine recently, though his shell is just down right embarrassing, but I would love to see an updated design for him.

Maybe start a movement... petition, uproariously, for an updated Bomb Burst for everyone's favorite (can't keep a straight face while typing that) Commander

At least to me, Octopunch looks like the HftD Seaspray that was done up as Octopunch, especially if you look at the shoulder areas

Yeah, but then you have... interesting choices; like most of the Autobot Cars being based on their original Classics/Universe toys rather than their more recent Combiner Wars toys.
As well, most of the movie characters recently added - Galvatron, Rodimus, Ultra Magnus, Scourge - seem to be based more on their original toys and character models from the 80s even though they all have recent or upcoming toys. Cyclonus seems to be the only one based on his CW toy - and even then just barely; I'm literally only saying that because his vehicle mode seems to have undercarriage. Nothing else on his body gives indication he's based on it.

On the other hand, that's a LOT of shards we're getting. It also means I'm getting a new 3-star this weekend... yay (save me I have so many dudes to train up already)
