It's Cyber Monday on the official Transformers facebook page, which brings us an exclusive image of Insecticon Sharpshot from Transformers: Fall of Cybertron! We know Kickback is getting a Deluxe Class Generations toy, no word if his two amigos will get the same treatment. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed for the trio in toy form. Personally My favorite of the 3 is Kickback.

"Sharpshot"?! Hardshell at least rolls off the tongue, but THAT name just hurts (cuz it's SHARP, see? So...yeah the pun hurts worse) I was really hoping the TRU Insecticon gift set would be the last we'd see of that name.

I'm not sure who's using the name "Bombshell", but Mattel is the culprit for "Shrapnel", since that's the name of a 1-ep Batman Brave and the Bold character they did a figure of.

Didn't someone say Chop-Shop was going to be in the game too? Or was that just the distorted rumor mill?

As for the designs, I like this one the least of the three in bot mode, but if they execute his powers right, it should make up for it.

A shame you were so misled. When you see stuff like the tru insecticon three pack or even the robot heros those are signs that Hasbro lost the names and are locking those in for the foreseeable future.

Chop shop is just rumor mill for now, but popular speculation remains that what one person saw as chop shop was actually snapshot right down to the speech pattern.

I really hope they come up with toys for "Hardshell" and "Sharpshot", but seeing as they're doing Kickback, it's hard not to make toys of them. :grin:

sharpshot really? couldnt think of a better name than that? Hardshell kind of sounds like bombshell sharpshot sounds nothing like shrapnel.

Yeah, but since RH Shrapnel was "Insecticon", "Sharpshot" hadn't been used as consistently as "Hardshell", so I was just hoping Hasbro would've come up with something better by now, like "Scrap-knell" or, hell, even "Lightning-Bug" would at least tell us who it was. "Sharpshot" is just up there with "toy boat" in terms of the difficulty it gives anyone speaking it, and it sounds so wrong it doesn't even stick in memory, as you observed with "snapshot". That'd be a decent replacement if they lost the rights to Reflector.

Hardshell is definitely the top pick for me, especially if they keep his powers, but Kickback is a close second (dat exoskeleton!) Sharpshot's alright, and yes, I agree it's not a perfect name, but it could be worse. I wish we could get a better picture, though. This one is really close compared to the others.

I swear, if Hasbro makes figures of Hardshell and Sharpshot, there will be major cult worship action from this guy's house on the release date.

it sounds way better and it means basically the same thing. of course that name is probably taken as well oh well. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then you know..

Hey it just goes to show you how retarded the whole trademark policies are to begin with. I fail to understand why Hasbro cant use names they used back in the 80's. My guess is they let alot of G1 names expire during the 90's and couldnt get them back because someone else took them. Use it or lose it, I suppose.
