Autobase Aichi is reporting that Artfire will be the exclusive mail-away figure for the previously reported Transformers Generations 2012 by Million Publishing. The teaser silhouette would indicate a combination of the Universe 2.0 Inferno and RtS Solar Storm Grappel molds with the inclusion of a Arms Micron of some sort.

Artfire as he appeared in the comic from the last Generations book:

If stepper was around $135, I really don't want to think how much Artfire would cost. Yeah sure it's cool, but no way i'm forking out close to $200 for a voyager. Grapple comes by around $40, it'll be easier painting it IMO. :-(

Technically speaking, Takara can also release a recolored Inferno G1 and just add Nebulon as the original Artfire. heck, if they can do that to Soundblaster............more or less the mold hasn't deteriorated much since its TFC incarnation.

Hmmm, I wonder if the announcement of Artfire has prompted or will prompt sales of United Stepper now. When I last checked about two weeks ago on BBTS, there were about 360+. As of last check a few minutes ago, the count is down to 319.

Agreed. People saying that "He's just a repaint" truly don't know Stepper's awesomeness. I can only Hope Artfire's is just as awesome.

Combine that with the fact that Stepper is gorgeous in hand, I cant wait to see what they do with Artfire

Yeah, his paint apps and scheme are just fantastic. I was definitely hesitant when I bought it but having it being one of my favorite molds and being who it is takes the bite out a bit. Again, I don't really collect much of anything but classics/universe stuff so I am able to buy the more expensive guys like this. And since there is usually a lull, I can afford a piece like this. But now with Artfire coming out, it just really makes this it feel like a complete set. Even though they aren't a set.

Kinda like Botcon Dreadwind and Universe Darkwing. I just feel like having both just makes each figure better.

Artfire concept is alright, although not like it wasn't gonna happen eventually.. I've always wanted to turn that mold into an RID Super Mode Prime.. hmm..
