Just out of curiosity....are there 2 Prowls coming out? I only ask coz I was watching Peaugh review of Deluxe Prowl & he was mentioning something about a large swat style vehicle that's also Prowl in the CW comics I believe! so could we also see a Voyager Class Prowl come out too?

Prowl is a big SUV in the comics right now, but there are no planned toys of him in that body that we know of.

TBH, when the release listings for a CW prowl was revealed, I was sure it was going to be a repaint of First Aid. I mean, just because of his current look.

But isnt this wave also trying to be linked to the original G1 aesthetic as well?

True, I was just commenting on what I expected, I love the Dead-End mold, I own every iteration of it to date, only missing Prowl and Dustup (skipping Smokescreen).

Eh, back and forth on that. Mirage is a formula-1 and Sunstreaker is a sports car, but Ironhide is a truck and Prowl has no door wings. A little imagination was needed given the molds available.

Eh, back and forth on that. Mirage is a formula-1 and Sunstreaker is a sports car, but Ironhide is a truck and Prowl has no door wings. A little imagination was needed given the molds available.

Prowl still kind of has the door wings, with the way the shoulders work for that mold. They're smaller, and they're rotated about 90 degrees back from the G1 look, but they're there in some form. The real shame is passing on using the First Aid remold for Ironhide and going with the Off Road mold instead. A full "van" alt mode would have been a preferable G1 look, but the pick-up truck isn't a bad choice for a "Classics" style update. I'm hoping for at least a new Ratchet from the First Aid mold.

Does anybody else want a re-engineered Energon Wingsaber for CW?

They could make an and a version; but I feel it was the figure that finally realized the ethos of the line. I always liked the 2 variations within the figure itself, and it would really fit in with this line, and would give everyone the spare limbs they've been looking for for their spare torso's (here's hoping)

Hasn't the only leader they've shown been Skywarp? I know TakTomy hates partsforming now but I wonder if they would consider it partsforming if the only thing it broke up for was to become limbs and to go from robot to vehicle mode didn't have to break up? And if they did make Wing Saber they could make it into a (huge) Scourge

I thought Starscream was scheduled for release this year? I was only talking about next year. Starscream's listed on BBTS for August. I feel the limbs would be a little small if a new Wing Saber was anything smaller. They wouldn't have to be as big as a deluxe figure but I feel they should at least be somewhat close.

While I understand the idea, the point of energon wingsaber was that it condensed into compact limbs.

If a new one was made, or the original modified (if you look at skyquakes hand made ports, you'll see that the energon wingsaber scales well with these cw voyagers already) it would look more 'normal', the current limbs are only so massive because they are made up of an entire figure.



(there would of course be issues with using them on menasor and defensor simply because the thighs would be much wider than the lower leg.)

I guess, a good pseudo approximation to this (since this definitely won't happen ) would be 2 rooks and 2 fireflights.



Anybody here got a connection to hasbro/TT that could run this by them, as it would be fairly easy to modify

I finally picked up Leader class Thundercracker. I noticed that in plane mode the silver pieces by the cockpit aren't secure and constantly pop out. I also noticed it in one of the youtube review videos as the guy is constantly popping the piece back in place. Anyone else have this issue? Just wondering if it's prevalent.

Have you considered partnering with a 3p company, or someone like nonnef to make more of these? I think there would be a larger market for these if the prices were adjusted slightly to fit a larger scale market. Just food for thought.


Also, could you do a pic of cyclonus with the energon construsticons attached?

I don't have that issue in particular but on my Thundercracker the cockpit's clear piece won't stay down and lock in.

So I found wave 4 at a local target last night and after playing with them I have too say, they're pretty great. Sunstreaker is probably my least favorite, but that's probably because I'm not a big fan of the character. Mirage would be next, I love the colors but the face sculpt is pretty bad. I actually really like Iron Hide, but I don't see him as Iron Hide. The face is pretty cool but it makes him look really young so I'm probably going to make him a new character. Prowl is by far my favorite and I'm having a really hard time using him as a limb because I love the figure so much. He's just going to have to fill in until I can get Wheeljack as his replacement.

Okay, this is a little unrelated to the caption thing but why can't anyone seem to transform the fire truck drone 1 limb on Energon Prime right? The front of the truck isn't supposed to be hanging out there like that it can go behind the fist. It even has a swivel on the fist just for it.
