Saying they all suck and every figure is the same simply isn't true.

That's a matter of opinion. It all depends on what qualities you look for in a figure and/or line. You each have your opinions, please respect them.

Also, remember, these are TOYS for KIDS. Not 20- or 30-somethings.

I totally get why some wouldn't like the CW line, people have voiced their reasons before and it's understandable. We all have preferences. Like I said I don't care for RiD but I don't go around telling people the figures suck. I don't think they do btw, they're nice looking bots, but it's not what I want for my collection. Just trying to pull the convo away from bashing entire lines of figures. No harm intended.


Personally, my biggest gripe with Combiner Wars is their peg chests, with some bots having hollow legs being a close second. Most figures have that visible block in the center. It irks me a little but I tend to look past it. I'll probably partially paint them eventually so it's not as noticeable in bot mode.

At least the hollow legs serve a purpose for the cw line, which is more than I can say for other figures

I don't know why you held your tongue, you're just saying the same thing a lot of people have said since 2014. But saying it now just sounds like you're beating a dead horse, the rest have moved on.

Anyone who doesn't think much of Robots in Disguise should get Warrior Fracture. That is a good to honest transformer, as good as any of the best generations figures we got in the past 4 years.

Seconded. It is an amazing toy.

In regards to combiner wars though, I am going to say the best mold is Rook. His retools are good too, but the original is a winner. That and First Aid. He is really awesome too and one of the best of the line

I'm actually quite fond of Brawl for the sheer number of guns you can attach to him.

But my favorite's probably Firefly/Blast Off. I like the little guns molded into his wrists.

Out of the few I own I like Alpha Bravo and Dragstrip the best. Alpha Bravo is a really fun, clever helicopter bot with a cool transformation and a neat colour scheme (and he makes a great limb). Dragstrip is just plain mean-looking, especially with that totally baller headsculpt, and his deco is to die for. Also helps that he's probably the solidest of the Wave 1 deluxes.

See, I agree about the leg mode, but his arm mode is huge, bulky, muscular and awesome, and it is my favorite arm. First Aid makes a great leg and he is one of my favorites.

the Mirage mold is good too. Makes good arms and legs. And Air Raid is my favorite aerialbot. That guy is the best flyer and I am glad he will be Strafe

Offroad is very cool and my Favorite Stunticon. He is really cool. Probs the one thing that slightly disappoints me is that he is skinnier than the rest, so he looks just a wee bit smaller as a leg (which is where I keep him)

Torso bot wise, so far my favorite would have to be Hot Spot. The design was awesome with that ladder and head bucket (Buckethead?). Not to mention the sweet blue

Favorite bot mode goes to Rook for deluxe and Motormaster for Voyager, alt mode would have to be prowl because his colors own that mold, torso mode is cyclonus and finally limb would go to off-road as an arm and dragstrip as a leg.

Kids these days don't want complex puzzle toys. They want video games and Netflix and everything quick-and-easy. Hasbro's just keeping up with the trending times that us old farts aren't a major part of anymore.

Yup this is the case.


Unfortunately Transformers will come to an end since the toy industry is dying not for a few years but it is if T.V can die to Netflix and youtube and pirating then toys certainly will.


And when the toys die the Transformers toyline will die which will lead to the Transformers comics and movies to die since there will be no toyline to promote were pretty lucky as is that Hasbro is willing to put up with our whining and trying to give us something we will like even if people our pushing them away.

That could not be further from the truth. The Bay films have proven that a toyline is not needed to support Transformers media. Hasbro's revenue reveal of today has just shown that they can make a bulk of their money off licensing out their brands.

Not every property needs a toyline to sustain itself, that was 80s thinking, we are beyond that now, the toys make a small portion of the revenue generated by the Transformers brand. There was a Gem and the Holigrams movie this year, where was the toyline? You think Star Wars needs a toyline to sustain itself? No. That's where Transfomrers is now. It is a multimedia franchise and they are just still making toys because its still profitable. When transforming toys will no longer be profitable to make, Hasbro will just stick to non transforming toys of Optimus and Bumblebee, which sell ridiculously well. And when that doesnt sell, they will stick to the media, Kids like Netflex, give them a Transfomrers Netflex series. China like big action films, give em a big transformer action film. The Brand is recongisable and is now big enough to only be a name people will throw money at.

It doesnt need toys, thats how amazing and popular this brand has become. It was 2014's highest grossing film, which is what star wars is for 2015. Neither need a toyline. Thats just added profits.
