I think one of the biggest problems is that one of their main selling points is being a combiner limb, and there are currently no combiners out.

There is also the problem that these arent releases many collectors care about. I am a collector and I am not getting any of these. I already have a swoop, so I have no need of another one. And I dont care much for ricochet. I don't care much for an arctic camo megs either.

Let's look at last year's exclusives by comparison:

Repugnus: Hell yeah, I need that to complete my monsterbot trio
Blastoff: I always wanted a shuttle blastoff to complete my Bruticus, an aerialbot redeco wasn't gonna cut it much but I'll be damned if I buy the takara boxset just for 1 toy
Punch/Counterpunch: DAAAAAMN, a new mold and a new execution of a classic character specific gimmick, give it to me NOW!

These releases are just like the Club stuff of old, very nieche. Of course, the club had it more limited both in terms of how many were made and how to get it, so there was some kind of urgency and extra exclusivity to it. But these don't have that. I never cared much for Club toys, and my dismissal is just transferred over to the selects line.

Dang Will that’s spot on. I mean I want to want these but after Repugnus and Punch uh wha huh COUNTERPUNCH!? It does seem like a down swing. What could come next gang any ideas? What are just your personal dream wants that could fit in this category? We got Ricochet...I mean, go nuts with this.

The news on the Firecon cards coming out soon reminded me that we still need the rest of them to complete what Power of the Primes started with that Cindersaur repaint of Dinobot Slash. In fact, it would be nice to see some of the still MIA minibots sold on Hasbro Pulse if they're not going to put them in the retail lines, since the Legends price point has been given to the Micromaster 2-packs for now. Maybe we can finally get a proper Cliffjumper, Goldbug, the rest of the Throttlebots, the Sparkbots, etc.

We know that Takara's side of the Selects line is giving us Star Convoy, Super Megatron, and Turtler.

Personally, I'd love it if they did a sort of reissue of the Legends Slipstream figure. I loved her character in Animated but never managed to get ahold of her figure. Or just some retooling to an Aerialbot mold to give us another combining Seeker/jet mold. Just a new head and flipping the sides the wings go on for the Firefly mold and they've got a decent, if not spectacular, figure for a character fans would want a figure of if they missed the Takara one and don't want the Cyberverse version with a gimmick that some fans would enjoy. And, with the release of that figure, Starscream could now have a full team including himself, Dreadwind, Darkwing, Jet Blastoff, and Slipstream

At this point, if they're gonna give us a new Slipstream, I think it'll be on the Siege Starscream body that they seem to be setting themselves up to put all the Seekers on with the upcoming Redwing.

Sweet! Redwing looks good, and now we know number-wise he slides in after combat hero Megs, which makes sense with the typo in the Megs Listing where we first found out about him. I wonder who the 3 more unknowns before Smokescreen will end up being.

You may recall back when Transformers Generations Selects Combat Megatron was first announced that some listings accidentally called out a Voyager Class "Red Wing" in the description, instead of Megatron. One thing that I appreciated about the original classics seekers being deluxes, was their affordability. Finally got starscream and will probably the only version I’ll get unless there’s some heavy remolding down the line.

Has anyone ever confirmed the existence of a metal pin variant of starscream? Or was it all unsubstantiated? If they released a version of one of the other seekers with the pin I would definitely buy one.. as if I d the toy excellent except for the chest popping off all the time.

From what I've found it seems to have just been a hoax, but who knows maybe they'll pin Thundercracker.

He said the chest piece is a bit tighter than the starscream. Also that its slated for August 1st wide release. His copy was 1/100 early release in Taiwan thru some retailer that i'm too lazy to look up

I thought I would be waiting to get any version of this mold until I saw an Acid Storm, Sunstorm, or Ramjet, but I'm a sucker for the Armada Screamer color scheme and more rare/obscure Cons, so Red Wing is officially added to the list. Love that he even has two shades of red on the alt mode, and that he has the smirk face.
