Thanks for the response on Black Zarak guys. It helped to make my decision.

As for this new Megatron, I preordered it, for 1 reason: the black helmet. I will swap it with the 35th anniversary version, so he looks G1 comic-accurate. Then the SG version, having the silver helmet and Autobot symbol, will be my Lost Light Megatron. Win-win.

Yes I meant I will be adding an Autobot symbol, but since then I changed my mind. I will still swap the heads, but the symbol stays 'Con.

As for Black Zarak, he's been preordered already, so he'll be mine. I already have E-Hobby's Fire Guts God Ginrai, they will go well together.

I'm still deciding on a version of Grand Max and if I should get one or not.

That depends on one's criteria of collecting. Mine is that a figure I buy must be prominently represented in either a movie, cartoon or a comic. Original toys have very little meaning for me, unless they also made prominent appearances in their contemporary media pieces. Of course, I do have very few exceptions to this rule. And thanks again Sabr, I knew I didn't need TFWiki...

The number of foxes I give for the fiction are compared to the amount of lint at the bottom of a pocket. Very rarely will I buy a figure because of the character and it's history. I'm all about the toys themselves and their design.

Still, I really wanted a B. Zarak because he was a bad-ass villain in Masterforce and it's just impossible to get and enjoy the G1 original. I'm also a "toy completist" and I love to have the G1 original next to the accurate modern version. And the modern version must be "complete" compared to the G1 original. (Damn Titan Return was an expensive line for me!) That's why I bought the weaponisers of each titan I owned. And if the original didn't came with one, I give him one for constancy's sake like Ironworks for Omega Supreme. And upgrade kits. So many upgrade kits and Reprolabels!

Who can afford an original Grand Max? I got the Legends version because it was the only reasonable option.

Who can afford it? The same people who can afford Legend Grand Max. The damn thing it over 500$ already on eBay for some reasons.

Why not just go with Encore 23 Fortmax instead? It's not Grand Max but at least it's still "reasonably" priced... at US400$+.
Man, I'm so glad to have bought mine from BBTS years ago for 360$CAN shipped and taxed!

Thankfully I got my Legends Grand Max from BBTS when they were having their one day sale for $170 USD.

But still, were talking about Grand Max, a different character than Fort Max. Even if a Legends GM is approaching $500, an original loose will cost you well over $1000. The Grand in his name is quite literal.

I'm not telling people how to collect, and I agree whatever version you have Fort/Grand/Brave - that original toy is superior to the modern version. It's just....If you have an encore original Fort Max, and both ER Scorponok AND BZ, that's a little lopsided IMHO. But that's just me.

For me, Grand Max is irrelevant. I already have Black Zarak_s rival and it's Legend God Ginrai.

Pretty much this, I wasn't Grand who beat BZ around, it was God Ginrai Grand really didn't do much in the Grand scheme of things.

At least we know from other images that the Scorponok mold can pull off the two headed dragon-thing form. I really hope they include it in the instructions

At the end of the series sure. But my actual favorite episodes of MF are 26 & 27 God Ginrai - Into the Sky!!/God Ginrai - Showdown on the Surface of the Moon. It's a tag-team brawl on the Moon, and Grand Max does get some punches in on BZ.

So while I think God Ginrai is amazing, he is paired up with Overlord for me, and I keep Grand Max with BZ because they look amazing together. Basically you couldn't have Grand upstaging the hero of the show (Ginrai), so he kind of had to take a support role, even though he could have done much more.

Prime VS Prime once again deliver with a video review of Generations Select Transmutate!

This repaint and slight remold of Kingdom Paleotrex have a new head that represent the original Beast Wars tragic character. Another big change is also those "radioactive" shiny green parts all over her body.

Of course, she's a weaponizer so she can disassemble into parts to combine with your regular WFC Generations figures, and can be reconfigured in many shapes, true to the misshapen original.

Are you exited for this release? Or would you prefer a more "accurate" version instead of "just another repaint of an existing bot"?

Well, the fact that we can "fanmode" her in what is pretty close to her original appearance is a HUGE plus IMO. Plus I bet some 3P smartass is already making an upgrade kit for her to make her look perfect.
