Artfire still looks pretty sharp, maybe even better than the original Inferno, thanks to the addition of white to the robot chest/truck cab. It breaks up the monotone red nicely. At least his associate Stepper/Ricochet is a far more extensive redeco of a toy (Jazz) that had no other redecos or retools until then. Then there is the mystique of a rare originally Japanese only character that is enticing to completionist collectors. You don’t have to appreciate Artfire or even buy him for that matter, but plenty of other fans are stoked for this obscure G1 character.

In defense of Generations Selects Artfire, his deco is spot on to the original Japanese toy released back in 1987 at the tail end of the Headmasters line. If anyone is unhappy with the choice to redeco a red fire truck into a red and white fire truck with a new accessory, they can take it up with Takara Tomy 34 years ago, lol!

2011... lets see....
I took my then 5 year old son to Botcon for a day. We were introduced to the Kreo Line, (thought it would be something fun for us to collect together) and all things DotM. I was immensely enjoying TF Prime on TV. Was "meh"-ing my way through the Costa run of IDW. Wasn't collecting any actual Transformers toys, but that Generations line did look "kind-of cool" I often told myself...

I love it, except for one thing, Nightstick should be a single barrel blaster. That's gonna bother me for a long time.

Pulse charged me for Snaptrap and Skalor, so that will be 4 Seacons for me now. And all at regular price, so I'm pretty excited.

I wonder if I will be able to "taste the rainbow" like I did for the Classic mold with the ER mold?
I just hope this Artfire is not a Pulse exclusive.
Damnit I'm jealous. I was considering getting this mold and his repaints/rewhatevers a few weeks ago.
But that Spark/Pyro is impossible to find.

Years ago, I didn't find that Pyro on Ebay. It was on random internet, at an independent TF "store" that was non-functional or in "maintenance". I had to mail the owner directly and we made the deal as if between private citizen. Cost me around 110$CAN shipped if I recall.
I was damn lucky because I could as well have been scammed at that time.

The head sculpt on Skywarp looks awesome! Though it is a bit odd to see the eagle head on the chest and the feaux eagle head on his bot head
Sideswipe looks great too, love the paint job
That being said the set is close to $50 and I'm not attached to skywarp or sideswipe enough to get them. I'm happy with airrazor and deep cover. Solid set though!

With the recent release of earth mode Sideswipe and Red Alert I'm thinking of getting the Sunstreaker repaints to get 4 lambos in similar colors but with different transformations. Might even consider TigerTrack if I can find an actual Sunstreaker for a decent price. So I get red, white and yellow in both molds.
The question is, are Cordon and Spin-Out worth the $55 bucks (USD). TFsource is asking for them?
It would be interesting to end up with 6 or even 8 Lambos. Sort of an autobot seeker team if you will.

The Cordon/Spinout set normally cost exactly like 2 deluxes at full price. I have the set and was lucky enough to randomly find Sunstreaker in store. All are worth it and all are worth their full prices.
Sideswipe Deep Cover is also magnificent, way better than the Netflix version. But both are very worth owing because you can have the Sideswipe who go on a mission, and the one that came back. The arm hinges color "missmatch" don't bother me at all and I think it makes the vehicles look better and way boring than being too unified. Among the Deep Covers, I obviously have the regular Siege Sideswipe.
Both trios are very worth owning and worth their full prices IMO. I don't feel the need to own the Earth modes nor the others.
