Not exactly "new" since it's still an existing Metroplex from 2005.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:True, however that is moot in this instance. As they are simply doing something new with the Metroplex name. Which is interesting. They haven't done that for a while.

But it isn't the evergreen design. That's encouraging.

...I don't know what clues you were looking at, but the clues I saw initially given when the individual talking about the Titan's identity began were "BUILD" and "GIANT", and that the Titan was 100% a Unicron Trilogy character.
Also everyone is saying that's what the Titan'll be not only because of those clues, but because the guy who gave the clues made a post recapping all the listings on one of the 4 or so leaked listing threads over there, accidentally said on that list that the Titan 100% is Cybertron Metroplex, and then edited that part out after the fact, which is pretty damning.
Yeah "BUILD" was also a clue. Somebody replied & said jokingly "you want us to build a giant sink"? So sink was a clue too. I was trying to think of something that sinks & is water based. At first I was positive it was the Nemesis. But then they said it was UT based so I thought Tidal Wave but he doesn't sink or submerge. Then I gave up.
Well, I totally hate this news but there's nothing I can do about it. I give up trying to make sense out of Hasbro. The Nemesis is a no-brainer & the obvious choice to come right after the Ark. I bet if the Ark was the titan for Earthrise we would definitely be getting the Nemesis for Kingdom. We needed the Nemesis to go with the Ark & the next titan should be a Decepticon. But I guess now the UT overrides everything else. (see what I did there? lol)
Transformers:Cybertron is my favorite series so I should be thrilled but I'm not. Metroplex was the 1 toy from the line that I hated. Does anybody really want a $200 toy of this thing?

I'll wait & see how the actual toy looks but if they really wanted to make a UT titan, Tidal Wave is a much better choice. Cybertron Metroplex was easily one of the worst toys from the line. Cool robot mode but is there anybody that actually likes his crappy alt mode?

I guess I'm the exact opposite. Really nothing has me excited so far. I'm glad some more obscure original series characters are getting a release, although they don't interest me, and the rest just isn't for me. The Energon Monster I'll take a look at when some pictures are revealed.
Honestly in Kingdom all I have purchased are the Fossilizes, the CC (pending), and The Ark. Slammer is on my pre-order list.
But if the rumors about next years CC and Titan hold true, I can cross those off my list for the first time. Looks like I can save my money next year for (Hopefully) MP Raiden, and any intriguing Selects which may come out.

i know they kinda touched on updating pretenders with prime masters but as a gimmick the pretender process is pretty much one of the few left that hasnt got a proper update.
unless your talking mega pretender stuff i dont think the shell works anymore- unless your doing amazing engeineering on it- so the idea of a vehicle to "shell look" sits well with me.
i mean hell can ya IMAGINE the bludgeon we'd get out of it?
i'd love a IDW style one of him.
theres also the fact that iguanus bugly and finback were among the figs that never got sold this side of the atlantic either, so its got a bit of a "GRAIL" factor going on.
and hey on the "neglected character" front a line of these lads would prob mean a retool of titans return SKY SHADOW to finally get us that Thunderwing update.

Or the other redesign, Figueroa had during Stormbringer. A cross between BW and G1.

I already own the original, and it will likely not have any lights and sounds. So, no, not really interested in a Cyb Metroplex.

Granted the movie was terrible, and a mess, but that scene alone is all the awesome you need.

He's an acquired taste. And only in small doses, and only his work in the 90s and very early 2000s.
Past that, yeah no. Stay far away from his movies.

This is a colossally bad take. Cage has gems across his entire career. Sometimes he's the best part of a good movie, sometimes he's the only interesting part of a boring movie, but the guy does the work.
There are movies like Vampire's Kiss that he gets a bad wrap for, but his performance in that is brilliant. Maybe it's not conventionally good, but it's incredible.
