It seems everyone's jumping on the Deviantart bandwagon, ranging from the amateur to one's trying to prove themselves, and lastly the professionals. We've got the latter situation as revered Transformers artist Don Figueroa is the latest to sign up to the site. He brings with a him a multitude of art that's been used in several of his works, mainly the new Transformers 'Ongoing'. Below the neck, I actually like the style.

I don't mind the smooth complexity of their bodies, and I actually like how the Stunticons slightly deform as limbs for Menasor.

But those faces. UGH. They were shooting for humanly expressive, but ended up fugly and hard to read.

I think it looks horrible. Only my opinion i know but there is no way i'll spend my money on this. To be fair am not too keen on the mighty humans whipping a race that has achieved interstellar travel, something that's 1000's of years beyond us so am probably not missing much. Does really upset me though as used to love Don's old style and thought he was awesome in Stormbringer. also hate not buying G1 as have always bought them since marvel number 1 UK but can't bring myself to buy the ongoing with current art/story. Oh well maybe it will improve and they'll bring someone else in or Don will have a change of heart.

In the meantime thank go above for LSOTW!!! Goes to show how amazing G1 could be all the time... Just wish IDW would take note
