wow, I'll have to check the Prime masters at my local TRU. My HTS ones should be coming Thursday, but I can easily check the one son the pegs at TRU to see if there were any mistakes in packaging double prime masters

I tried to cancel my Amazon order for Starscream after reading a bad review of him, but he showed up to day, nonetheless (Grimlock has yet to arrive).

I'm now glad that Amazon wouldn't let me cancel the order. I would have been unhappy to overpay for him, but for $25 I'm quite satisfied just with his torso-mode alone. Surprisingly clever transformation, nice ankle tilt feet that can be used with any of the combiners, and Starscream just looks really powerful combined with the Aerialbots. His proportions have sort of an anime-esque exaggeration to them with the ridiculously broad shoulders, but he is not so top-heavy as movie Starscream.

He also looks good with (a) the Aerialbot missile HFGs fastened behind the wing panels on his pecs and (b) the leg Aerialbots flipped backwards (though obviously that limits his knee articulation a great deal). The special feet he comes with also allow him to be stable with the lower leg members turned 90 degrees (Liokaiser style).

I have a little bit of trouble posing him, because it seems like between the five ratchet joints involved in each leg, the math is slightly off. I also wish they'd put a 5mm peg in the underside of his gauntlet armor (the blue panel that moves up on his thigh in torso mode) - if that could have clipped into the nullray socket on his upper arm, it would have made his combined mode more stable.

I need to paint his Enigma if I'm going to bother keeping it in his chest, but I'm not sure what to go with.

Interesting. I ordered both at the same time and both show up as arriving by 8pm today, but only Starscream has a tracking number. Grimlock doesn't even show up as shipped yet on my order despite saying he'll arrive by 8pm tonight. I was thinking they are both together int he same box, but if you also ordered both and only recieved Starscream, then I'm wondering if there is something holding up the Grimlocks.

My Grimlock arrived this morning from Amazon.

Good for you, I preordered mine on the 23rd on amazon, and won't be getting them, when I contacted Amazon about it, I was told the figures were out of stock so no new orders can be made...Yet i was charged for them when the elegends class figures shipped
GOOD, I wasnt wanting a new order I was wanting my preorder, so those who got them both from amazon enjoy the figure and be glad you didnt go through this BS..

The Prime Masters look great! I can't wait to see what they do for Bludgeon...

Seeing all these comparisons with the original Pretenders makes me really wish I had picked them up along the way. They're just oozing with late 80s, early 90s awesomeness!

You know what would have been nice? GIJoe-type figures of the Pretenders, with just little slots in the backs where the Titan/Prime Masters would have fit, folded up. To me the bump in articulation and detail would have been worth sacrificing the transformation and matryoshka storage system.

Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but I say the legends class figures on the shelves in a walmart earlier

They can be found as stocking stuffers in the aisles or in front of the registers.

My TRU had the Legends as well -- no Prime Masters. I didn't get Skullgrin, but if I see him in stores for $5, it's gonna be hard not to just buy him.

So, was your original order cancelled? I thought either you or Amazon cancelled them, but I might have misread or misunderstood what your were saying in your original post about new orders and being out of stock.

If your original order is still in the system but unfulfilled, I'm guessing you should still be getting it at some point, just maybe not in time for Christmas if that was critical.

We got an email about an hour ago saying Friday.

Frustrating because that doesn't work so great with our holiday travel plans...

i wish there's also a Battle Gaia in PotP. even though its a repaint for UW Bruticus

At this point, ordering online is not a guarantee and the b&ms are packed -- not to mention the discount retailers (like Ross) didn't deliver this year. I'm glad I went online for the Prime Masters -- I really hope PotP has no distro issues....I'd prefer to find Moonracer, Bludgeon, Novastar & Elita-1 in stores!

I've seen everything from wave 1 in B&M except for the Voyagers (which I know others have) & leaders of course which have not been sighted anywhere that I am aware of...

I'm solidly convinced something happened to TR deluxe wave 5 to make it a very limited run...TRU had at one point online placeholders for them, around the end of Sept. when Arcee was first available for pre-order, then a few days later they disappeared. None of the big 3 major chains have had them, in my area, that I am aware of.

usually the first couple of waves of a new line get pretty good distribution...its the latter ones you have to worry about.

And yes, with TR wave5, I finally gave up and got Misfire as a present to m'self. Missed out on Twintwist, Ramhorn & Windblade, of course.

If they're gonna clog the shelves with TLK, they could throw in a few of Cogman.

I was fortunate enough to get Ramhorn on HTS in the short window it was available last week. But come to think of it, none of the TR Wave 5 deluxe were ever available there either, that I was aware of. Keep in mind, I did not need any of those 3 (Windblade, Twin Twist, or Misfire), to complete my own collection, I just wanted to see them to complete my personal B&M sightings checklist. Those are the only TR I have not seen in store yet, and fairly sure I wont at this point.

As for today, I plan to check my local TRU on the way home from work, to see if any of those Prime Masters have the error of 2 PM's in the packaging...
