I was expecting to be underwhelmed by Hascon. They took Botcon's laser focus and split it through a prism that it now shares with Play Doh and Nerf. No one cares about every product. It's not brand loyalty to Hasbro, it's a focus on Transformers we want. Christ, I still default to thinking of Kenner when it comes to Star Wars toys, not Hasbro. It's their first try but it's not the level we have grown accustomed to.

Is it bad that the extreme G1 accuracy still bothers me at this point? Should I just except it now? Despite that there's definitely some good stuff here. Swoop looks pretty great but I would have preferred a red chest I think, just looks better imo. Slug also looks really good. Grimlock looks a little off, possibly for the combined mode, but I'll probably still get him. Snarl and Sludge are fine I suppose, but out of all the Dinobots I always liked them the least. And it's kind of enticing to get an Optimus that looks almost exactly like MP-10 for a third of the price.

I'm more concerned that BBTS and TFSource still don't have preorders for Hascon Arcee. Very concerned.

I've been trying to do that too myself, because as G1 updates these are fantastic. In general most come out looking good but I feel they could all look better if a different approach was taken. All in due time hopefully.

Yeah, pretty much. I think essentially I just have to step back and say 'Extreme G1 accuracy just isn't for me'.

... except when there's figures from this line I do like. Of which there are a significant number I guess I just mean as a design ethos.

I agree with this wholeheartedly, having a voyager Sludge as an alternate torso to Grimlock would have added so much more play potential the dino's.

Honestly, Slash being a girl only makes me more excited for her. I'm imagining her as the Dinobots' teenage girl sidekick.

Optimus Prime's combinability with his trailer seems pretty seemless, and looks awesome. But HOLY COW Orion Pax's arm storage in the back of the cab (in truck mode) is just awful. I'm surprised they didn't come up with SOMETHING a little more "hidden".

They wouldnt get her just like they dont stock SDCC exclusives (at least not at the MSRP) or walmart exclusive TLK Hot Rod or TRU Exclusive Chaos on Velocitron set. Arcee is a show and retailer exclusive, so thats a no go for those online stores (unless of course, BBTS is the exclusive retailer for this figure).

I dont mind the style itself, but I do mind when they also make it similar to G1 engineering with simple conversions.

Those are my exact thoughts. The vehicle mode looks pretty bad.

It all depends o whether or not Toysrus still exists next year. If yes, then I will get most of these, if not then I will mainly get the Dinobots, Jazz and Beachcomber and maybe one or two prime masters. I would be unsure of the leaders. But we are talking of extreme crcumstances here.

Lot of good stuff revealed today and I can't wait to see what tomorrow and Sunday bring. Super excited for the dinobots but I'm going to wait and see what Unite Warriors 2.0 has to offer.

Leader Optimus looks incredible and I'm hoping that Takara gives us a Nemesis version.

We got a pic showing optimus split up, so now we get an idea which parts from the trailer and which from orion pax. Got these from facebook.

The way i see Grimlock as of now, it gets better imo

Slash looks like she could make a pretty convincing Dinobot, albeit an out of scale one.

All of these are looking really nice, I want a red chest Swoop.

not exactly out of scale. Her alt mode is raptor, which generally is much smaller than stegosaurus or triceratops.

And research suggests that raptors had feathers not scales. So yes, they were out of scale.

But seriously, Beast Wars characters were about 1/3 or 1/4 the size of G1 characters, so it would be mostly accurate.

Yep all five Original Dinobots are installed buy, I told myself that of one day Hasbro decided to bring back the original Dinobots in there G1 form, I will buy them all, so now it's time to fulfill that promise.
