Um, no, not if you have to use a screwdriver to partially disassemble the figure. That isn't a gimmick at all, just a coincidence.

Edit: it is also too small for a TM, so definitely not a gimmick.

Also, the part that the nose cone is attached to looks broken off. That's not what you want to happen with an intentional gimmick.

Removing a screw is something beneficial from time to time with Transformers like remove one screw from Horribull's ankle and he gets a knee bend.

We heard Rumours that Wreck-gar was part of Sky Reign long before the toy was seen - could it be that the rumour refereed to a cancelled Wreck Gar Deluxe and not the Legends class which is a poor fit on the combiner as a back plate and wasn't sold as such in any meaningful way - though I get the impression he still has some association - but perhaps not much more than Cosmos does?

But if they don't modify Power of the Primes Inferno to much Wreck Gar can still potentially combine with him at least.

I do very much appreciate the whole idea of a spare team-member even if it's an accidental idea - especially if one day some one releases a stand accessory or something to convert Combiner Wars Deluxes to Targetmaster gun emplacements and so ape the Seacons' functions with those extra team-mates.

As well as the bonus team-members if they make enough of them also being suitable fill in limbs for the likes of Red-CW-Optimus.

I do still want a Hoist and if Power of the Primes allows that and they can make the accessories for the hook also function inside the theme then that is neat too.

The slight issue though is if they base The Hotspot mould onto Inferno and not to say Guard City - then the next question automatically becomes "Where is Grapple".

It's fund to speculate that if they really wanted to get creative (and if the line gimmick leaks over into later lines) then it's feasible to make a Grapple torso - but said Torso could be further retooled into Hook and then with the addition of the Prime-master functionality and some construction vehicle limbs you can have a new take on the Constructicons that matches the scale on the others - and they can have a smaller team mate to make a Legends 6th team member torso plate or weapon like Scorpulator or Scrapmetal. The Deluxe limbs can then do double duty as a variety of Autobot Construction vehicles.

(like the Double Targetmasters). so one or the other can be the default and the other can be a gift set or convention toy boxed set etc...

I usually approve of Quickswitch and Mixmaster or Scrapper and Scoop sharing a mould - and it's one way to make some "Dpuble Targetmaster" Autobots and also get the smaller Devastator some would like too.

The Bonus Deluxe idea would also come into the concept too so they had all the Constructicons present. I can even see the construction functionality of each vehicle being adapted as a melee weapon for the combined mode - or some way to slot the bonus team member on the back of the body.

If Hasbro planned that idea from the outset they can even wiggle more parts into the mould to give say Scoop and Scrapper more distinct likeness with distinct chest or head parts.

Just a passing thought anyway.

I doubt the Rescue Force should be in this Prime Trilogy series.

I mean, if we were getting them I'd prefer it be Liokaiser first...

...waitaminute. I might be missing information here, so please correct me if I'm wrong...the Rescue Force were redecoed and retooled from Liokaiser, but only four were released. Where did the other two in that picture come from?! :shock:

i just wish there was this kind of these Autobots, sadly they aren't common, but i would doubt this might replace Liokaiser (Combiner Wars one)
as a Boxset or Sold Seperately :-D

I suppose the 1-2-1 Knock Offs have become the official colours then - I would guess the reproduction head might be a little tricky to find now too.

It would be nice to have the Breastmasters copied too as they'd actually make nice weapons for other toys too.

I'm one arm short of completing the TFC version - I'll see what I can do about getting the CW version sometime - perhaps I can pair the individual robots up with suitable Arms Microns.

I wonder if TFC decided to make their own version of the Rescue Force if they'd copy the KO colours too. (seems like the logical thing to do).

I guess if Woolworths still existed in an meaningful sense in the UK then a modern take on the Rescue Bots or a special edition box version of Overlord would have made ideal exclusives for them. Since Woolworths sold the G1 Overlord in the UK.

I guess it's way to much to hope to get the other two characters in Power of the Primes though as there simply isn't the available slots for them to be released - they'd be decent if done in the way they did those Black Boxed figures in the Classics line - especially since Hasbro seems to be of the opinion that putting things in a Black box justifies doubling or tripling the price.
