Oh, if only that were true, Bulkhead. Then we could have, ya know, good writing, good animation, good toys, etc. Instead another round of the same old tired Autobots and Decepticons run around.
Sorry, but Beast wars wasn't the greatest in terms of writing.

Autobot Strider wrote:Well, on the bright side if they do release the newly coloured smokescreen in toy form I may just re-purpose my current Smoke as Prowl with some mods, paint, and reprolabels like in the recent creative roundup (although mine will be inferior...)
Plus, if they did introduce Prowl into the show (which I doubt, but...), he wouldn't look exactly like Smokescreen with only a few colour differences - this will make them more dissimilar which is good.
kirbenvost wrote:I guess that makes the inevitable Prowl reprolabel job on the white one easier.

To bring this back on topic: If nothing else, having Smokescreen take on a drastic colour change does allow for them to bring in Prowl without having THREE white Autobots.

YOU DARE MOCK BEAST WARS!!!???
It's definitely up there, at least.Superwheeljack wrote:It is not the best tf show,

No arguments here. Easily the worst TF cartoon series ever made, even regardless of its dub.Superwheeljack wrote:and Energon

Masterforce was AWESOME!!!

At least it had as competent a dubbing script as it could get, what with 9/11 butchering it to death with excessive censorship, rewrites, and bans on (re)airing certain episodes.

I'd say even between Top 1 and top 5. It still ranks number 1 in my eyes, but Animated was very close to overthrowing it (so close, yet it just didn't).Mindmaster wrote:Sabrblade wrote:It's definitely up there, at least.Superwheeljack wrote:It is not the best tf show,
Somewhere between top five and top three. Let's face it, without Beast Wars, Transformers would probably either be nonexistent or still exclusive to Japan.
For me, Masterforce was more enjoyable due to it having strong likeable characters, an enjoyably cool story, and load of fun awesomesauce sprinkled on top.Mindmaster wrote:Masterforce was AWESOME!!!
Personally, I kinda preferred Victory over Masterforce (I've got my hate-shield ready to deflect!), but Masterforce was pretty cool.
Which the Energon dub largely did try to hide, but the scene was still kept in. They did, however, hide Mirage's feelings in all his other scenes throughout the show (by making him even more generic than he already was ).Mindmaster wrote:Yeah, Energon as a cartoon was pretty bad, but the toys were good, if you ask me. Really loved the Maximus teams (I was one goddamn component away from completing my Superion Maximus before the line ended ).
But the one thing about Energon that haunts me to this day... is the infamous "Gay for Galvatron" scene.

Apparently it's time for Ultra Magnus to bust out the Hammer of Major Ass-whupping.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Prowl is a use of Smokescreen's model (or the other way around) just like Magnus is to Optimus' old model.

Four if you count Ratchet.
Autobot Strider wrote:Well, I mean that picture is nice and all, but if you put it side by side with an image of Smokescreen, they have some similarity in shape but they are really quite different, and I'm ignoring the colours, head and missiles. Just focusing on the body, the picture of Prowl is sporting very different forearms and shoulders, a slightly different chest, and different legs from Smoke's in-show model. I don't think that they will make Prowl in show look like that picture because it's that different. My opinion only, I could be very wrong. That is all I am trying to say.

PrymeStriker wrote:Yeah, I know, they're not shaking hands in the Prime cap (which I hope happens at the end of "Chain of Command." ), I just used them for example. There are a couple times in The Rebirth where Magnus & Optimus just stand with one another and hold a conversation. Can't find any stills of that though.
