Transformers Ranks Number 2 on Toys
Toys "R" Us in the United Kingdom conducted a survey asking people what the coolest toy ever was. The results are in. Transformers came in at number two beating out the likes of Barbie and Lego. The entire list has been posted on the Sky News website.

That list had some timeless enduring toys some of which will outlast civilization as we know(yes there will be yo-yos in the time of Jetson dress rings), AND WE WHOOPED THEM ALL!
The BMX, is a standard and should have a place, but first

The BMX was first? I never considered my bikes as toys, they were transportation and a means of doing business (paper route).
Bigger suprise that Star Wars didn't make the list at all.

No offense but this list is garbage, rubiks cube? Those things are so lame! And lego at #4? I love transformers, and have a ton more tfs than legos, but if there was one toyline to be at the very top I'd think it'd be lego. I'm glad it's Tfs that are on there and not something like the hoola hoop (remember vh1's #1 toy of all time, what crap, someone try and find a kid playing with a hoola hoop these days. If you give a kid one they'll laugh at you and kick you in the nuts.)

Action Man is a POS that they've been peddling to the Uk for years. Even when kids wanted to kill off the bad guy and get rid of the thing, they started making it again.
I don't consider bikes toys either, but hey, tfs made #2!

How is the BMX the coolest toy ever? I dont think I ever had a mate who evan had/wanted a BMX, and Rubric's cube cooler than lego? I think not. There are some really lame toys in that list of coolest toys.

A survey of what the toy-buying public thinks is cool means nothing? I don't know about that. It may not be representative of the population as a whole, but at least it's a good sign for Hasbro when their media blitz takes off... well, round about now, I suppose.

Star Wars toys were always more of a collector's thing. They never "did" much until recently. Plus Star Wars toys are largely regarded as a "geek" thing by most folks so I'm not really surprised they didn't make the list.
BMX was number 1? WTF? How is that a toy?

It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...

I would not classify a BMX bike as the Number 1 cool toy. Someone stuffed the ballot box

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

BMX bikes are sports gear, not toys. TRU sells them, sothey're on the list...but if we don't count the bikes, then we're number 1!
