I wonder if they were looking at an early character model for Kup and Cyclonus. Neither head is totally true to the movie.
Understandable...
Others may disagree, but you could probably get $25 for him pretty easy.
Depending on how much you want the Kingdom version;
List your Siege version for $30 including shipping. If shipping ends up being $8, that's still $22 to put towards the new version.
I know it's kind of a kick to feel like you've lost a little $$, but I guess I'd try to gauge which is worse; the loss of a little $$ for a version you really like, or having something in your collection that you're not completely happy with.
If it helps, I just did a tiny bit of digging... I saw sold/completed listings on the 'bay;
3 days ago one sold for $31 +$16 for shipping!
That may be a bit high, but makes me think what I suggested is not only reasonable, but could definitely do the job of getting him sold quickly for you.
He's in canada, shipping an item like Magnus would be too expensive to make anything worthwhile.
@Gauntlet, try selling locally on kijiji.

Got my Studio Series 86 Grimlock today. He was literally the only non-cyberverse or buzzworthy Bumblebee figure on the shelf, as soon as I saw him I yoinked him right up and got out of there. Grimlock's my favorite Transformer, could not be happier to finally have such a great representation of him (POTP was okay. strictly okay). Not really anything else I could want out of this guy except for maybe a red visor and a sword but neither of those are particularly big deals to me and I understand that's not the version of Grimlock they're going for here.

Give me the other Dinobots in this scale pls hasbro

This transforming robot is in no way shape or form Optimus Prime

Last week my Wal-Mart had 6 Grimlocks on the shelf one night after stocking, the next afternoon they were ALL gone! That's $300! Scalper in action? Or just a lot of Grimlock fans?

6 is not that much. And know what? I do hope that's a scalper. All that trouble for maybe 5$ of profit for a mainline figure that will flood the store shelves for a while. I call this Leader Grimlock will be in at least 2 waves at the bare minimum.

Thank you!
I just got Sentinel out of the box again for pics with DOTM Megatron, and it really is great. I’m jealous of the sword and shield though xD
Glad you were able to get Buzzworthy SS-15! I actually haven’t seen that one yet, although I think I’m good with my SS-01. I’d say that’s the Buzzworthy figure to get because ROTF Bee is getting a mainline release later this year.
Speaking of Sentinel. . .
“This is my planet!”
That painting is incredible by the way Sowndwave76! I love the backdrop idea, be sure to post pictures if you do that!

Got SS86 Grimlock today. Gotta say, he's amazing, but I had thought he was going to weigh more than he does. I also came to the conclusion that anyone who can get Wheelie to stand by himself is clearly a witch

Put all the green bots together for St. Patrick's day!
(Brawl and Long Haul are WIP, Long Haul is the current one I'm working on)
Got Brawl out of the box for this picture, and I gotta say I really like that figure. It has issues like the cannon barrel tail and the turret not rotating, but both modes look really good.
After having leader class Deep Desert Brawl since 07, I was surprised that SS Brawl A) had a mouth, and B) wasn't actually enormous in the movie. He's only a little taller than Ironhide, but from the leader figure I had always assumed he was huge xD

He was huge in the movie when compared to the one Autobot he interacted with the most in the movie, that being Jazz. But since Jazz's '07 toy was so much bigger than SS Jazz, SS Brawl didn't need to be as big as the Leader was.EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:After having leader class Deep Desert Brawl since 07, I was surprised that SS Brawl A) had a mouth, and B) wasn't actually enormous in the movie. I was about to say "But Wheelie came with Shockwave!" and then I realized you were talking about 86 Grimlock xD

You know who I think would've worked as a leader class, though? Long Haul. He's about Starscream's height in the movie but super bulky, so I think that could work as a leader. Even for combination, Long Haul forms Devy's entire right leg in the movie while the SS one only forms the lower half of that leg.
I can totally understand why they went with a voyager just to make combination more feasible, but I think a leader still could have worked.

When I first saw the revealed pictures of SS Bee Starscream, I was taken aback. Was this a SS Bee Blitzwing remold? What the hell is that vehicle mode?
I was going to hate the damn thing for sure.
...Or so I thought.
I lucked upon him today and here he is!

The bot look fantastic and there is a LOT of paint. The paint is bright and solid. All joints are tight and there is no parts that tend to pop off appart the big wing bits for security reasons. They get a pass because it's not annoying. The null rays plug a bit loose in the wings and it's too bad there is no ports in his arms to plug them. I'll be tempted to drill some holes to make them fit.
The overall shape of his torso is a bit "Dorito-ish", making a believable previous form of the regular Movie Starscream. He face is more "human" so I wonder what happened prior to his evolution to his '07 form.

Comparing to the '07 "G1" Strascream and the SS'07 one, he feel smaller:

I challenged myself to transform him without instructions. Not easy when the altmode is Cybertronian. It was very interesting and it's clear when transforming that this Starscream have nothing to do with Blitzwing. The Cybertronian tetrajet is better than expected. For the Movieverse, it's perfect.

Comparing to the previous two Screamers, the vehicle seems a bit bigger.

No comparisons with SS Bee Blitzwing because Blitzwing can sit on a barbwired baseball bat for all I care.
Anyway, TlDr; SSBee Starscream is worth picking up.

After playing with SS Sentinel Prime, I can tell that he blew me away. The bot mode could use more red on his legs, but it's his only flaw. The sculpt work us superb for this perfect bot mode. The truck is flawless. And the transformation is pure pleasure. I should have getting him sooner.
On a side note, I saw the original DOTM voyager at my local geek store and oof... Poor thing... Still, I want to buy him m just to post pictures of them both side by side.

I was the same way. When he first came out I didn't pay him any attention, and after a few months I saw him on a shelf at Wal-Mart and got him on a whim. Most pleasant surprise of a purchase I had in a while. If he didn't have so much black on him, he'd be perfect.-Kanrabat- wrote:After playing with SS Sentinel Prime, I can tell that he blew me away. New Video Review of Transformers Studio Series Bumblebee Movie Voyager Class Starscream
- Motto: "My past no longer binds my future..."
- Weapon: Battle Blades
Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user, and YouTube toy reviewer, Chuckdawg1999, has uploaded a new video review of the recently released Transformers Studio Series Bumblebee Movie Voyager Class Starscream! This toy turned a few heads when it was revealed, as everyone assumed that he was a retool of the already released Blitzwing mold, but all the two share in common is the same aesthetic.
Check out what Chuck has to say about this figure:

What do you think of this version of everyone's favourite schemer? Do you already have him? Planning to get him?

Check out what Chuck has to say about this figure:
Chuckdawg1999 wrote:Starscream is a fine Voyager and an interesting take on the Cybertronian Tetrajet, definitely looks like a ship I flew in some 80's space shooter video game. Transformation is interesting but relies too much on friction to hold parts in place. Overall, if you're a movie fan this is a good addition to your collection.

I just want to be clear that I feel that Starscream is an extensive retool from Blitzwing. From what I could tell Hasbro would take a shared part, like the thigh piece, and mold new tooling around it as I show in the video. One piece that I didn't notice until after I filmed was the gun; the tip of the barrel and missiles are the same but have new tooling behind them. Also having the figure in hand it's clearly obvious that they share the same buck. It's amazing to see what Hasbro did with Starscream, getting so much from so little, but it is NOT an entirely new figure.

Last week I bought from my local geek store the new Transformers Studio Series Sentinel Prime. That toy is absolutely fantastic and is ridiculously screen accurate for it's size and price point.
But last week-end I had a desire. The desire to get the original Dark Of The Moon voyager Sentinel Prime I spotted over there. So today I got him. I know this 10 years old toy is trash. But I wanted the eksperience of finally handling him and to have the pleasure of shaming the poor thing beside his much younger self.
So without further ado, here they are.
Old DOTM to the Left, newer SS to the right, just in case:

Right from the start, we see that the old one is much smaller and thinner. He have a big gun but that's it.

Both do have a large backpack, but the old DOTM one have about ALL of his truck mode on his back. And because the bot is so small and thin, it appear much worse on him.
The newer SS at least make the effort to make his backpack look like a cape.

The old face sculp look like a basic police sketch while the new onelook like ripped from the silver screen.

The old truck is nice but once again, much smaller. It's also look much "toy like" and less "collector" than the SS.

The transformation of the old DOTM one was still interesting and fun. Way more simple than the SS. However, transforming the new SS is much more satisfying.
Well, that's it! I had fun comparing the two. Hope you had fun reading this silly post as well!

it was, thank you. If only the SS version was all red like the DoTM version, it would have been perfect. That's way too much black.-Kanrabat wrote:I had fun comparing the two. Hope you had fun reading this silly post as well!
