The writing is clever, with lots of little nods to G1, and while the animation is different, I dont' think it over powers the story line. I'm of course, no fan of the "human villians" or Sari, but then the humans in TF have never been strong, remember Astoria? That humanoid that could turn into a fish?

I figured it was either a troll or one of those folks who doesn't like Animated based solely on the art.

But as far as I'm concerned Beast Machines is still the greatest TF series of all time.

Hell yeah, boy! Watching Beast Machines on Youtube is what got me back into Transformers last year! I love that series.
Regarding TFA, I HATED IT HATED IT initially. The art just infuriated me I thought it was so bad. But, I finally caved in and started watching it from the beginning. It's pretty good! Sari's really cute, probably the best TF "human" to date other than Spike. Blitzwing's friggin' cool too!

There is also no way Energon was better, THAT(or RiD...I hated RiD and I was only like 7) was the worst TransFormers series....
On a side note:Really disliked Beast Machines...

Quoted to give this comment a frame of reference, cartoon-wsie, I agree with you on Beast Machines. That was a truly great show, and one that will probably end up being more polarizing than Animated when it's all said and done. People either really hate it or really love it, and there isn't the middle ground of it being ok like Animated has. Not everyone loves/hates Animated.
I didn't care for Animated. I thought it was a cool idea storywise mainly because it wasn't Optimus as super-Prime, and I liked that he was a cog in the machine as opposed to the do-it-all bot he always has been. But I really didn't like the art, and I thought the Autobots chasing human baddies around was really, really lame. I know cartoons are intended for children, but since I still watch cartoons, I don't find it out of the realm of comprehension that I should find something I like as well, and Animated just wasn't it. I wanted to like it, because I want to like most things TF related as a fan,but I didn't like Animated. All told, I think it was a step in the right direction after A/E/C in that is was more cartoon-y and less anime-y, but I just didn't find enough to like about it.
But the death of television as we know it? I highly doubt it. If you think that's true, you must not be aware of the fact that there's apparently a Jersey Shore knock-off show out there. That's the death of TV as we know it.

I joke! But honestly, I don't think Animated was garbage, far from it. I think it was pretty ambitious in it's storytelling, and finally made some human characters that I wanted to see (sometimes). My biggest issue with the show would be some of the voice work.
I thought Tom Kenny did a pretty solid job as Starscream, but all I could think to myself was, "angry spongebob." the whole time. Maybe it's just me. His lines were great though! Very true to character!
But in the end, Animated was pretty solid, it's nowhere near as good as the classic G1, or Beast Wars, but it wasn't a debacle. The animation is weird, but if you watch it for awhile, you kinda get used to it. And it isn't as bad as Energon in my opinion, which was painful to watch. The movements were sooo stiff, I felt like I was watching a kid play with action figures! And I don't mean that in a good way!

If Transformers- Prime is more of the same, I will cease to watch any new transformers tv shows, and will stop at once supporting the hasbro cartoon branch. They should just do what they've done for the past seasons (Transformers R.I.D.- Transformers Cybertron), and stick with computer animated graphics. Or we could be looking at the sell-out of the Transformers Tv show.

While I must welcome you to Seibertron, (as no one else has) and commend you on using His Royal Stigness for your user name. I completely disagree with your post, and for thus I will not provide the standardized greeting for new members.
I personally enjoyed Animated, and was pleased to have an original North American designed show tailored for a western audience and filled with tons of nods to fans from every generation of Transformers rather than another poorly rewritten translation of series designed for a Japanese audience. Now if you honestly hated Animated (which is your opinion and by all rights it's yours to have) and you were happier with the half-assed re-writes of Car Robots, Micron Legend, Super Link and Galaxy Force, then I find it quite unlikely you will be a fan of Prime.
Once I ran an Anime festival with over 6,000 attendees. Now... not so much.

I actually enjoyed both RiD and Cybertron, but I do have a very high tackiness tolerance.

Just because one person thinks a show is a good quality, doesn't mean it is.
Likewise, because one person may think a show is utter garbage, doesn't mean it is.
And I also think we should lay off the troll comments. This person may have in fact be genuine, they chose to make this their first post and maybe they could have worded it better, again, personal preference, but the way others have reacted is nothing to be proud of.
Don't agree with something someone says? Then as it says in the forum rules, disagree in a decent way, don't attack a person over it.

To be fair, yes, this person might be real.
However, considering this is the first and only post of Stig's so far, and we've seen hide nor hair of this person since...doesn't that lend credence to the troll theory?
I know I'm not the only one to consider Stig's post to be a prime example of trollish behavior, and I'd hope even you can see that it's highly possible it's a troll tactic.
