Loved Dinobots as a kid, never got them, so when AOE came out I got them all...well all the colorful Power Ranger-like ones anyways, none of the fancy G1 or movie inspired repaints.
Of course when I saw the movie I was a tad conflicted on why there were so many deluxe sized ones... Besides Grimlock ( I went Leader versus Voyager on that one), the only other voyager-sized one we got wasn't even in the movie
Before anyone bashes me for saying this...marketing, tooling, etc, etc... They're freaking Dinobots, so make them all Leader-sized, but make them Deluxe or Voyager level complexity. Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters upscaled some of their Legends to Deluxe size, I say upscale the Deluxe to Leader size.
What kid or collector wouldn't want a foot tall Dinobot??
That's just me...So Voyager Scorn...meh.

I agree with this but grimlock is bigger than the others so him being leader and the others voyager makes sense. Scales for the movie toys have been weird since ROTF. I do like the idea of upscaling the deluxe though that's a solid idea. In saying that the new mould scorn is much better than the deluxe especially that Dino mode. I'm curious what warranted him getting a bigger toy. Perhaps he's the red knight we see with merlin and he'll play a big part in the last knight.
Would alternatively buy a Hasbro US retail fortress maximus head on its own if anyone had one for sale.
PM me.

Cool that's based on the Armor Knight retool rather than the standard AoE release isn't it? Why they didn't do that for the TLK Leader release? Might have made the price increase feel a bit more justified.

this one seems to be takara release. So chance are, takara skipped that shadow spark version and goes with this, while hasbro sticks with shadow spark and not releasing this version for US market.

Shadow Spark isn't being released in the U.S. market either. It's a Hasbro Asia exclusive.bacem wrote:Carnivius_Prime wrote:bacem wrote:Someone on my whatsapp group just shared these. Thats right, the only leader prime the US is getting is this one:

Since this is a Takara product, I have newsed it in the appropriate toyline thread

Stickers and decals are the same thing? I don't think either line had those.

In-Hand Images of Transformers: The Last Knight Leader Megatron, Sighted at UK Retail

Remember to use the Sightings Database to help out fellow collectors, and happy hunting - wherever you are in the world.
My local Toymaster in Staffordshire had him on the shelves at the weekend, along with wave-mate Leader Prime. In past experience this store gets stuff in 2-3 weeks ahead of other chain retailers (I bought Titans Return Galvatron last summer and didn't see him in Toys'R'Us for another month).

You'd think, since these movies make billions of dollars, they would try and make a decent toyline to go along with it, but no. We have an extremely small, low quality line that fails on simple things such as QC. (before some triggered fangirl attacks me for saying the line isn't good, I actually do like some portions, namely squeaks and the new voyagers, but that's undermined by the poor quality of the rest of the line for me)

And if you think the quality is bad on TFs you should really look at the lackluster offerings made by Hasbro for the Jurassic World series, they totally stink and look dollar store cheap. The stuff they put into their own properties is by far better than the stuff that isn't in their specific creative property.

I've been a bit wary of the toys after pretty much the entire AOE and some of the DOTM lines, but this looks really good. It actually makes me like the design of Megatron in the film, too. Maybe it's the Fusion Cannon on his arm and the sick sword, but I dunno.

I used some clubpoints and picked up Prime for 'normal' voyager price. He's a really nice figure, well worth having. Knees don't have a lot of bend in them but overall, he's a good solid figure with a satisfying transformation.
Tried to do a headswap with an Evasion Prime to give him his mouth face, but the balljoints are different sizes.
