Sabrblade wrote:It was never released on Blu-Ray in the United States. The only blu-Rays that exist for it were ones released in European and Australian markets, but the video/audio quality of each of those is no superior than the U.S. DVD release of the movie by Sony in 2006, meaning that that DVD version is as good a quality as that movie is possibly ever going to look. Thus, that 2006 Sony DVD is presently your best option.
I did not know that. Thank you very much.

I had to look up on TF:Wiki because I thought for sure that the voice Actor for Unicron was the same as was in BW Neo (reprising the role). Evidently it isn't the same actor, but props for getting someone who sounds very similar.
Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

Probably not. It would have expended its energy just the same, destroying Unicron, but nothing would've happened to Galvatron, at least not physically. Would he still have gone crazy? Would he have become revered by both sides? Assuming he didn't threaten to kill the Autobots afterwards, maybe he would've united the 2 sides under his leadership?AllNewSuperRobot wrote:A general musing I've always had since first watching TF:TM, what if the Matrix opened for Galvatron when he threatened Unicron?

Arise, Galvatron Prime??
(weird that I didn't notice the reply before now...
Now that would have been funny. Galvatron so smug with this threat, opens the Matrix and detonates Unicron instead. Due to his proximity likely would have blown up Cybertron too
Considering the faction distinction is largely arbitrary on a physical level, I did think Galvatron Prime was a potential. Also it probably would have looked pretty cool, or akin to Rodimus Prime, he would have been a Cannon-Truck

I doubt it. The Matrix energy is both the accumulation of wisdom from past Primes as well as Primus's life force. It's not an actual physical explosive, Unicron's explosion was his averse reaction to a lifeforce opposite his own.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Probably not. I have my doubts on that as well, since the Matrix selects the bearer based on his or her moral standing at least as much as the person's intent regarding using the Matrix. Galvatron simply wanting to destroy Unicron wasn't out of nobility, it was out of self-importance. He was trying to defend Cybertron, but only just so he would control it. Primus wouldn't approve.Considering the faction distinction is largely arbitrary on a physical level, I did think Galvatron Prime was a potential.
Like Onslaught, except purple and with 1 giant orange cannon instead of 2 smaller silver ones. A true adversary to Optimus Prime, if he was still alive. Also it probably would have looked pretty cool, or akin to Rodimus Prime, he would have been a Cannon-Truck
And with Hot Rod never becoming Prime, Magnus stays Autobot leader, and a whole generation of crybabies are pre-emptively silenced.
