So is there any difference between Magnus Prime and Super Ginrai? He looks like a slightly different color red, but that is all I'm noticing.

There are a few paint application and layout differences.

That's a good looking set. At first I was only interested for Ginrai, and the possible Godbomber later on, but seeing them together as a group, I'm sold on the set.

Tidal Wave's jet mode.

What jet mode?

Whoa...she could crush a man's head between her thighs like a sparrow's egg.

Tidal Wave, stickers aside, actually looks pretty good. Not big enough to be Tidal Wave but still a better looking toy than Broadside IMO.

Pounce is a dorable. Enough said.

Metalhawk...ech. Those colours look weird, especially in jet mode. Better than the Funpub figure though.

Magnus Prime looks cool but if I get any version of him it'll be the pack with Godbomber, Minerva and Cab.

Thunderwing is an extra Headmaster, no complaints there.

Man! Tidal Wave's & Thunderwing's head looks awesomely unique. Good Details. Metalhawk's does looks interesting too.

I was expecting Metalhawk to be more gold than caramel. Oh well. I'd still like him.


But Tidal Wave blows me away. He was the one I was a bit meh on (except Thunderwing, I have no use for bodyless Thunderwing). But man, Tidal wave may be my favourite from the set. That face sculpt. Those colours. It's glorious!

Hope they release the clones separately one day

Agreed. I haven't read uprising but I did read all what tfwiki has had to offer and Jesus it sounds like complete garbage. It's like they said "well we milked shattered glass to be the most hated thing in ten years next to machinemas combiner wars...what else can we do?"

Uprising's prose stories were some of the most prolific works to come out of the Club in, like, ever. Those stories were deep, man.

Totally agree, Uprising was incredible. Also box-set Tidal Wave is the hawtness.

A bit upset I missed this one, even if I was just going to sell the individuals and keep what I could. It most likely will be up again, right?

Also, while on the subject, what is the general opinion of SG?

So no chromed-out trailer for prime?? Aw. That was seriously a huge selling point for me back at toy fair. Everything else looks great, though. Tidal Wave's head is awesome. Would have been cool.of then to change the Arial bots out for decepticons, I dunno with what though. Seekers?

I will say Tidal Wave looks pretty good actually. Better than the previous character his mold was used for. Though I am a Decepticon sympathizer.

No joke. The whole reason I chose Super Ginrai over the box set was because I didn't like the silver. Now seeing the comparisons that Sabrblade just linked to, I'm feeling extra ripped off.

For what? Jumping the gun and buying something you had complete choice to get?

Actually think I like the Hasbro Prime better than Takara Ginrai. Takaras headmaster looks a lot better though. Has anyone in the US seen Octane out in the wild yet? I would pay shipping and stuff if someone could find an extra.

Nah I'm happy with Super Ginrai as he is very close to the animation model from Masterforce.

If you didnt get Super Ginrai, Magnus Prime is perfect. I noticed the guns were bigger with Magnus Prime also. The headmaster in robot mode is hideously painted to not look like Ginrai or even Hi-Q for that matter. The only thing I can't see is the shade of red, as in some of the pics it seems Magnus Prime has the shade of grey/red closer to Powermaster Prime, and the blue tinted windows I do like. The crotch is blue which I guess is the differentiate him from Super Ginrai but he still retains the side panels from Powermaster prime with the huge Autobot logos lol.

Easy, RH. He has every right to an opinion and to feel ripped off, as we were told we were getting silver paint at Toy Fair. There's no need for passive aggressiveness.

Seibertronian Sabrblade pointed us in the direction of some comparison photos of Takara's Legends Ginrai and Hasbro's new Magnus Prime figure, coming in the soon-to-be-released Siege of Cybertron box set! The photos, from Twitter user autobase_aichi show the two Prime figures in their robot and truck modes, but they also compare their headmasters and weapons! Take a look at the (subtle) differences! (Hint, Hasbro's has the darker front windows.)

I don't think they're actually any bigger. It's an optical illusion due to the angle of the camera in that comparison picture. There are some ambiguous depth cues going on too like the star pattern on the table top and the slightly non-parallel arrangement of the two guns.
