That would be more TakaraTomy's department, not Hasbro. Though I could see Hasbro redeocing him as "Spark Attack" after the Heroes of Cybertron PVC figurine.
Speaking of TakaraTomy, they are releasing Loudmouth aka Siren as Goshooter, in a set with Wheelie. No further Headmaster Jr. have been announced, in fact Nightbeat will be released in Japan as... Nightbeat.

No he wasn't, nor we're about 75% of the figures coming out in this line. It's just the gimmick they decided to go with much like how characters like iron hide, Wheeljack and hound were made into combiners when they traditionally aren't.

But he's not permanently apexed, nor is this a poorly made mold. It has some flaws but it's by no means a bad mold.

I didnt know that. So that being the case, why is everyone crying foul on hasbro choosing to make them headmasters here again?

'Course, then people would be complaining about them not being accurate to the originals...

I think there's a couple reasons for that. First of all, IDW is iirc pretty popular in Japan - and Nightbeat's risen to prominence as a character despite his fellow 1988 Autobot Headmasters - Siren and Loudmouth - mostly being relegated to the background.
A second reason could be that they might want to do an actual Minerva head as the Nightbeat one looks nothing like her. Compare http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/9/9 ... htbeat.jpg to http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/a/a ... ekotom.jpg . Even if Titan Master Nightbeat did have closer adherence to the G1 figure Minerva is repainted from, Minerva's face was still significantly altered in the anime as you can see there - a more feminine face and more elongated horns.William James wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote: As you may remember, Blurr, Kup, Hot Rod, Cyclonus and Scourge became Targetmasters in Season 4, so they're fair game.

And yet, we have Galvatron. I guess he's a... City Commandermaster now.
Commandermaster. I like that.
But yeah while they seem to be making all the 1987 Targetmasters into Headmasters as well, it's not a hard and fast rule as to the entire line. I mean... already, Astrotrain and Sentinel Prime weren't -masters. Or Alpha Trion. Or - going into leaks - Megatron, non-Powermaster Optimus, Doublecross...
For me, the only problem I have with Blurr, Triggerhappy etc. being headmasters - and I've said this a lot and I'm worrying about being a bit of a dick with saying it so much - is that they don't have their targetmaster partners as guns anymore. I'm fine with headmasters being added on as it's easily ignorable and just adds something to the toy; hence why I'm easily cool with Galvatron and Astrotrain. But Hot Rod for instance actively has his gun-former partner taken away from him. It's not just a new addition, it's taking away from something the original toy had - and it's not just a fun little feature that wasn't the focus of the toy like say, CW Onslaught no longer having a base mode; it was the entire gimmick and selling point of the toy.

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:By the by, which subgroups did get turned into Titan Masters?
Headmasters
Targetmasters
Powermasters
Monsterbots
Duocons
Throttlebots (rumored)
Basically any group or bot active from 1986-1987 on
Chase was a Legends class, not a Titan Master. Also, Krok, an Action Master, was also rumored.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:By the by, which subgroups did get turned into Titan Masters?

But their Titanmasters either have the same name as their G1 Targetmasters or the closest equivalent to their G1 Targetmasters name due to trademark/copyright issues.

TimothyR wrote:Wow.. Look how cheap prime looks without being able to position his feet flush against the ground.. For a $45-$50 figure.. That's just bad. A figure of a character clearly aimed at collectors, but built for a 3 year old. That's a shame.

DigitalBrave3 wrote:Why can't everybody just be more accepting and optimistic? Oh, that's right, because this is a fandom I'm talking about here. I've completely accepted Titans Return because I think every single figure (except for Blurr) looks amazing. Yeah, there are problems (Blurr), but what Transformers line doesn't have problems or a few dud figures? Not a single Transformers toyline, cartoon, or movie isn't without flaws. I've learned to expect flaws so I'm not constantly complaining when flaws show up. I think you all should try that too. Just remember that not a single thing is perfect. Perfection is something that is 100% impossible to achieve. I'm completely okay with all these characters now being Headmasters. There are many examples of characters being shoved into gimmicks they weren't originally part of even in G1! I just imagine tyem as being like the Japanese fiction where the Titanmaster is the actual character and the body is just a lifeless mech suit. I spent pretty close to about a half-hour typing this. I hope that time I took to type what is basically a speech wasn't wasted.
