What?! Who says? Dude, this toy, and hence this version of the character, is aimed at kids 8+, its written on the box:

I've completely accepted Titans Return because I think every single figure (except for Blurr) looks amazing. Yeah, there are problems (Blurr), but what Transformers line doesn't have problems or a few dud figures? Not a single Transformers toyline, cartoon, or movie isn't without flaws. I've learned to expect flaws so I'm not constantly complaining when flaws show up. I think you all should try that too. Just remember that not a single thing is perfect. Perfection is something that is 100% impossible to achieve. I'm completely okay with all these characters now being Headmasters. There are many examples of characters being shoved into gimmicks they weren't originally part of even in G1! I just imagine tyem as being like the Japanese fiction where the Titanmaster is the actual character and the body is just a lifeless mech suit. I spent pretty close to about a half-hour typing this. I hope that time I took to type what is basically a speech wasn't wasted.

Out of curiosity, what is so bad about Blurr. He looks fantastic. Or are you just talking about his deco? Cos the figure looks great, alt mode looks great. Takara deco is amazing.

Yeah, just the deco. I should've been more specific.

I don't mind the guys being turned into headmasters at all. In fact I think it fits well with the line and will just make the play pattern a lot more enjoyable - hell, the fact that this is the first time we're getting a lot of these characters at all (that isn't a third party, convention/club exclusive or random repaint) is really great and a ton of them look amazing; the only ones I don't particularly like the look of so far are Ravage, Buzzsaw and Blurr - and even then I only dislike Blurr because of the colour scheme; Takara's take brings him out beautifully and allows the mould to truly flourish.
I'm just a little sad that the targetmasters aren't targetmasters anymore, is all. Especially when the figures are this incredibly accurate to the original toys - seriously, it's kind of insane - I feel kinda sad that Triggerhappy doesn't get his little dude to turn into a gun. But it doesn't kill the figure or my enjoyment of it in any way; just a criticism I think is justified. Maybe it'd be easier to just say the fact he doesn't have a targetmaster brings the figure from a 10/10 figure to a 9/10 figure. I still love how it looks and I'm still likely going to enjoy it if I get it, it's just a shame Blowpipe or whatever his name was doesn't turn into a gun. That's all.

Believe me, I have so... so many positive things to say about this line and from what I've seen it honestly seems to be one of the best there's ever been. I just went on a ton of rants about how much I love the look of PM OP lol. This annoyance I have with no targetmasters? That is literally my only problem with the line aside from the Ravage and Buzzsaw molds along with a couple of characters like Blurr not having great paintschemes. And maybe Hardhead not having a mouth but that's not really a criticism, just personal preference.
That's it. Aside from that I am adoring how this line is turning out and I have little else bad to say about it.

Also, you're seriously going to bitch about a single point of articulation that's always been more or less optional across the Transfromers brand? We've always accepted the loss of an articulation point when the transformation engineering simply can't accommodate it. Hell, not even the Gestalts have ankle rotation, and you're going to complain that Prime looks "cheap" because of an insignificant detail?

Does anyone else think that Hasbro's new "Triple Changer" icon on their boxes is a little too simplistic and misleading? Yes, Power Master Optimus Prime may have three forms, and ONE of them is a robot, but a sedan and a jet are a far cry from an 18 wheeler truck and a "base" mode. I'm surprised that was cleared by Hasbro's legal department. I bet someone could successfully raise a stink about "false advertising" if they really wanted to.

Hey man, it's cool. I just didn't wanna sound like I was coming across as hating pre-established characters getting new gimmicks attached to them is all. I've been well in support of guys like Galvatron and Astrotrain being Headmasters from day one; it just adds to playability and while in canon I don't see them as Headmasters, it's easy to ignore. Sort of like... sort of like a missile launcher gimmick. It's fun, but they don't do that in the fiction and it's not impeding how the figure looks in a display.

I think the other two monsterbots will get figures in the 3rd part of the prime wars trilogy. As is this line has enough figures to support six waves and two box sets. I don't think they'll make it longer than that.

Honestly, I would love to have Generations Monsterbots and I'm happy that Double-cross is starting it, as he is probably the most logical one to start with. I also don't own any figures of most of these characters. "Optimus is literally the only character who is getting a toy in Titans Return that I already have a figure of, and I own several Optimus Prime figures. I don't even own a proper Megatron!

I think it would be awesome if the last part was all beasts. First line was all vehicles (besides skylynx) second was a mix of beasts and vehicles so I think a transition to full beasts would not only make sense, but would be awesome. They could do monsterbots, firecons, dinobots, beast combiners and maybe some beast themed pretenders.

Monsterbots would be really cool. Honestly, completing any little sub-group is really cool. I just find it funny we'd be getting a proper update for all three monsterbots before the dinobots lmao.

They always came across to me as extreme dinobots, funnily enough. Like, even more violent and - as the name implies - more monstrous. Grimlock lived for battle but he has a crux of hating those who use their power to abuse the weak. Grotusque would tear you in two no matter who the heck you are.

i love it when characters that have barely any toys get them, and this line is gold for me considering I have none of these guys in the slightest. :MAXIMAL:

I think the other two monsterbots will get figures in the 3rd part of the prime wars trilogy. As is this line has enough figures to support six waves and two box sets. I don't think they'll make it longer than that.

I'll be happy with all 3. I really want a Grotusque. and the design on Doublecross is awesome! Plus ya know, little known characters with few toys and even fewer personality traits :MAXIMAL:

I think it would be awesome if the last part was all beasts. First line was all vehicles (besides skylynx) second was a mix of beasts and vehicles so I think a transition to full beasts would not only make sense, but would be awesome. They could do monsterbots, firecons, dinobots, beast combiners and maybe some beast themed pretenders.

Would certainly be interesting. All beasts could make for some cool stuff, not to mention maybe some new beast wars figures :MAXIMAL:

Yup, it would have been much simpler to just write: 3 MODES!

interesting, any reason you didnt want to pick up any Megatron that has come out these past 5 years?

It's simple, really. I spent my money on other things and completely forgot to go back and get a Megatron. XD

Which would you have liked to get and any reason you dont want to get it now? Most are still available at reasonable prices.

At this point, he might as well wait for the upcoming Titans Return voyager Megatron. It looks fantastic. It's definitely way ahead of the Classics "Nerf Gun" mold (even though the Transformers United release of such looks really classy).

I did really want Combiner Wars Leader Class Megatron, but I've never seen it at retail before, so I've decided to wait for the Titans Return Voyager Megatron. In fact, Titans Return has what just might be my first Galvatron that isn't BWII Galvatron.

No way I'm paying $14 for a legends class =;

Almost reserved Crashbash, but, I figure that I can get them at a discount on HTS, they just don't feel like a $6 toy >:oP

And there's no way I'm buying a cassetticon online, I need to see that those stickers are intact first |:|

Interesting how both waves are coming out at the same time. I am wondering one thing though, are the titanmasters really 6.99 or is it just a markup from 4.99 due to these being hot preorders?
