Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

Thrilling 30 may look very IDW, but he does so much more that references other versions of the character, like the tech specs, the actual look of the alt mode, and the uniqueness of it. It is only Brainstorm and can only ever be Brainstorm.
To me, Thrilling 30 Brainstorm is the better one. That's not to say the Titans Return one is bad, it is a great looking figure. I feel though that Thrilling 30 nailed it a bit more on the head mold wise and homage wise

I don't have a movie collection and a G1 collection. All of my stuff is blended into one single collection. I pick up what I think looks good, and since I don't like this design (because it looks nothing like G1), I'll pass on Movie HR's figure.Deadput wrote:Autobot N wrote:Don't care. That Hot Rod is not supposed to be part of your G1 collection he is a movie figure hence he belongs to the movie collection.
I merely made a comment about TLK Hot Rod, to which Deadput responded.william-james88 wrote:Woah woah, why are we arguing what goes in a collection all of a sudden? I was never talking about that. and in any case, I choose what goes in my collection and only me, no one else, same goes for the rest of you. My personal collection has nothing to do with g1, I just collect damn cool figures and thrilling 30 brainstorm is the ultimate Brainstorm figure we have for now, for all the reasons I listed. no one is forced to buy him (or the other one), but if you want a cool figure and the best representation of that character, you are missing out by not having him.

Oh I know, I was writing this in reponse to Deadput bringing up the collection angle all of a sudden. You just happend to respond before my comment was posted

Deadput wrote:He said that he would not buy TLK Hot Rod because he did not look like the G1 version which I replied that he wasn't supposed to look G1 as he was his own thing.
That's all I was saying why does everyone go up my case about these damn things unbelievable.
Deadput wrote:My point is that the T30 figure is much better part of a IDW collection then a Titans return/G1 collection while the TR figure fits in with other Titans Return figures.

Actually, that just makes it all the more apparent how similar they are. The legs, waist, and torso are exactly the same, as are the forearms and elbows. Only the "shield" pieces and the shoulder/biceps are different. I think it's more amazing how the mold works as both characters so well with so few changes between Blurr and Brainstorm.

Makes ya wonder why Brainstorm was the one chosen to be an exclusive retool, instead of a unique mold for general retail like the rest. We can't really blame this on T30, can we?
