To me, Thrilling 30 Brainstorm is the better one. That's not to say the Titans Return one is bad, it is a great looking figure. I feel though that Thrilling 30 nailed it a bit more on the head mold wise and homage wise

But the T30 figure doesn't fit in with the Titans return headmasters unless you don't care about scale or him being with his 3 pals/partners.


My point is that the T30 figure is much better part of a IDW collection then a Titans return/G1 collection while the TR figure fits in with other Titans Return figures.

I don't have a movie collection and a G1 collection. All of my stuff is blended into one single collection. I pick up what I think looks good, and since I don't like this design (because it looks nothing like G1), I'll pass on Movie HR's figure.

Woah woah, why are we arguing what goes in a collection all of a sudden? I was never talking about that. and in any case, I choose what goes in my collection and only me, no one else, same goes for the rest of you. My personal collection has nothing to do with g1, I just collect damn cool figures and thrilling 30 brainstorm is the ultimate Brainstorm figure we have for now, for all the reasons I listed. no one is forced to buy him (or the other one), but if you want a cool figure and the best representation of that character, you are missing out by not having him.

PS: Also, since when was that movie Hot Rod? Thats not written anywhere. The only toy we know for a fact thta tries to be movie Hot Rod is MP Hot Rodimus.

Now, I just have to get through the next four hours until I can go home and open him up! >.<

He said that he would not buy TLK Hot Rod because he did not look like the G1 version which I replied that he wasn't supposed to look G1 as he was his own thing.


That's all I was saying why does everyone go up my case about these damn things unbelievable.

Could anyone do some comparisons between Walgreens Brainstorm and Legends Blurr? From what I've seen I personally feel the remolding sets them apart well - especially since, bizarrely, looking at the original toys the two don't look that much more dissimilar than their TR toys - but I wanna see just how different they look next to each other.

Even though I wouldn't have em in the same collection. Lost Light collection and Blurr's Bar/Windblade collection all the way baby

Seriously, read that again and tell me that doesnt sound like you are deciding what we should do with our toys. You are free to say what you want to do with them and where you intend on placing them, but it really sounds here like you were imposing your thoughts on others. Thats not what you mean, but that is very much what it reads like. So lets all stay friendly, and simply watch that our words actually reflect what we mean.

Like I said, size matters to me. I was tempted so much to get T30 Brainstorm until TR was announced. T30 Brainstorm may look better as a figure, but he's a huge voyager.

Only the "shield" pieces and the shoulder/biceps are different. I think it's more amazing how the mold works as both characters so well with so few changes between Blurr and Brainstorm.

Oh yeah I agree; guess I should have clarified - it's not that in terms of pieces and retooling they're really different, but they both manage to achieve a very different look with what little retooling they have plus the different decos and tamographs.

Eeeeh... I kinda got the feeling that was the reason, honestly. They'd already done a Brainstorm figure in Generations, so why work as hard on a second go as him as the first go at the rest of the Headmasters?
