I can see some merit in a Swerve or Orion Pax redeco of that - but it seems more like Takara thing.

Besides some people would scream like a irate 6 year old at a Birthday party who got the wrong present if they made a homage to GDO Swerve that it wasn't IDW enough. I don't think it's allowed for there to be a more "Adult" Swerve any more he's gonna be stuck as a Minibot forever now. Which is a shame as I like the other Swerves.

Anyway Kup has some merit overall - I would like to see him next to Blurr - I guess the darker blue used on TR Blurr may mean that this version isn't going to look to similar but I'd have preferred Blurr a bit lighter and Kup leaning more towards teal and grey myself. But at least they don't match.

Worth getting for completing the set of 3 even if design wise it's not jump up and down exciting - especially due to the black coloured head.

It's not unlike Hotrod in that it's almost there but just missed the target. Overall though I like it - I don't love it - But I like it.

Please make Misfire Hasbro !!

Same sentiment I remember before MP WJ, MP IH,MP Inferno, TL Blurr, Sandstorm etc was released. Just wait for the Takara paint job and y'all will do a 180 turn aka wait until a much clearer image/product reveal first. Then judge.

Since we already got an IDW Swerve that's nigh-perfect and there's quite a few third party options... I don't think anyone would really care.

Was getting a Kup figure in G1 toy colors something people have been asking for or something otherwise why would Hasbro go with this especially since the leaked art for the figure has the head as green.

Hasbro sticking to toy colors is something they've done for a long time.

Besides, they've already given us a Kup toy in cartoon-based colors with a robot mode based on the cartoon model. Now, they're giving us something different from that so as to not be redundant or repetitive: A toy-colored Kup with an IDW-based robot mode.

With a G1 cartoon alt mode that as far as I know does not have in IDW but eh whatever.

But I don't think there has been anyone who wanted the toy colors over the cartoon since you know that's pretty much the only color scheme Kup has really had.

Yes and we will... in february. Its the same every year, we first see the titan class in february at toy fair and then it comes out months later in the summer. No reason this year would be any different. We were lucky actually, they showed us some of the toy already. That didnt happen before.

I thought I was fine with my G1 Kup.....but I would love to have DAT ARTICULATION we have with the modern Generations.....just sayin

I can't go Takara probably I only do so with characters exclusive to Takara I have Lio Convoy and Godbomber (despite not having Ginrai) on preorder and I'm just trying to keep my stuff on a budget since I have to pay from Big Bad Toy store which is in american which inflates the price a little.

I actually don't have a problem with his colors I just would of preferred his head being green but I'll settle with the Hasbro version just like with Blurr and powermaster Optimus

I dont know why you go with BBTS if you are in canada, thats the sure way to always pay more. We have canadian retailers and we can import from japan. Every alernative to BBTS is cheaper.

If you're getting Godbomber, you better get Super Ginrai too, since Godbomber can't combine with Hasbro's Powermaster Optimus.

Not getting him for the combining which is probably dumb to everyone else's eyes but the Godbomber in my head canon G1 story (aka the Transformers universe in my head that I think about which is me thinking up new or some revised story and lore concepts one being that Godbomber is a sentient drone not unlike a Star Wars droid)

Dont forget, Will, Hasbro also gave us Legends Class Stripes/Ravage. Few really seemed to like him, at least when he was revealed.

And I personally am not a fan of Sixshot. But hey, only 3 out of how many ain't bad.

I don't have many problems with the mold itself, overall I do like how it looks - though it does feel a little off in places; not sure why - but it's really just those colours, man. TR's eventually gonna have to have some redecoes and I really hope this is one of the molds that gets one because it really deserves a nice paintjob to bring it out.

It just occurred to me why I'm not impressed.

The whole back end looks like it's made from so many pieces it almost looks like something made out of Lego.
