Honestly, that burning-down-a-forest deco on the side of Laser Prime's trailer really helps when I want the speed set just for Nautica. Easily one of the best things about G2

I dunno. I suppose it doesn't help I don't read the comics so I have no real attachment to Nautica, but sweet baby Jesus that FACE.

Yeaaaah, I'm getting her because I love MTMTE/Lost Light and she's one of my favourite Transformers characters and there's no other figure of her, but... it is a little bit of a letdown.

Though don't let the render fool you. Those CG Renders make pretty much every figure look a billion times worse imo; it's the in-hand pictures I really need. And she does look better - though, yes, not excellent - in the actual photos in our galleries and elsewhere.

This move from Overlord is still kinda a cheat move

Yeah the headsculpt isn't that great. All of the defining features are there but the facial stucture is off. Doesn't quite look as feminine as the comic art. But like Kurona said it's her only figure and I too like the character quite a bit.

This Seaspray is much more look like from a third party product

And... yeah, damn.
There's a few good things to be said. The legs match well enough, it's not a perfect resemblance but it's fine. The arms work pretty well since Nautica is supposed to have that kibble under her forearms so this actually works out pretty well.

... but then I realise why everything else felt off. The head is a bit too blocky and not round enough; the straighter shape and the stern expression make her seem like a much more serious-minded character like Elita-1 or Victorion or something rather than the awkward, fun-loving nerdy dork I very easily fell in love with. The fans being attached to the shoulders rather than sprouting out of her back make her way too wide to the point of silliness (it doesn't look like you can fold them back either which doesn't help, though even then it'd just look really dumb to have two big circles pushed off to the side like that), and... yup, that chest. Just doesn't work. At all.

Maybe Scourge would have worked better.

Pretty much what I was saying when we heard the rumor of Nautica from Blurr. I didn't think the chest would work out too well, and it doesn't look near the same. Some things work, but others don't. And I still love her!!!!

I still think the figure looks good, but, uh... in the same way TFP Kup looks good? Great design, really looks nice on the shelf... doesn't look an awful lot like the character.

Did think that when I saw the shield square piece thingy, yeah. Pretty sure it's just parts sharing tho

Scourge would have been too bulky and his shoulders would have been far too wide. Blurr was the best route to go short of a new mold. Which would have been perfect. There's a Nautica face on shapeways but I'm not sure if it's that much better.

The vehicle mode has a gun inside the trailer... but the two big rifle things Ginrai came with are mounted on top of the trailer. Does this mean Magnus Prime actually comes with an extra gun compared to the Japanese release?

Also, that Magnus prime is just a TAKARA GINRAI copy and also it has More Guns, that means.... more FIREPOWER

Nautica... I wasn't expecting it to be good, but no this bad. It's just a purple Blurr! That face isn't even feminine.

On the one hand the facesculpt is alright, the jet mode is OK, the swords are kinda cool (though why they have a seat on them...) and the robot mode looks pretty good in general. Plus, whilst she's no BM Blackarachnia, she does have some rather wonderful thighs.

On the other hand, something seems...off about her. I can't put my finger on it, but she seems slightly weirdly proportioned.

Oh... my... GOSH. That Windblade looks SO MUCH like it's gonna be turned into Slugslinger! I can't wait!!! *gush gush*

Fraid not, It actually has the same waist transformation as highbrow, as well as cockpit storage.

2 headmaster ports? Maybe Takara will make "2" for their version?
