Not to worry, the previous two are in an amazon exclusive.

Do we think this two-pack packaging along with the TLK packaging are alluding to another change in packaging for Generations as well? Specifically I am wondering if deluxes will start appearing in boxes instead of cards. Hopefully not, since I assume it will also include the price hike TLK got.

The product code of that listing matches the Wingspan/Cloudraker set.kurthy wrote:cruizerdave wrote:Wow, wouldn't it be great if there were two two-packs with the clones in them. I think Quickswitch turned out pretty good, all things told. He's got a different face at least. If you get Legends Sixshot, then the helmets will be different too. Finally, you can play around with a lot of the robot mode kibble to give Quickswitch a different silhouette from Sixshot. For mine, I don't deploy the pectoral "wings", flip the back wings down instead of up, and turn the shoulder pylons with the wheels backwards. The result looks like a much better proportioned G1 Quickswitch. It really is quite amazing how well it works with so little remolding if you use a few simple alternate transformation techniques.

Quickswitch is a figure where the concept had no effort, but the execution had a ton of effort.

Now that we see it's a Walgreens exclusive, does it still fall into a wave? When I picked up Walgreens-exclusive Brainstorm, other Wave 2 Deluxes were on the pegs at Walgreens.

Titans Return Fastlane and Pounce to be Released as Amazon Two-Pack

Hot on the heels of our report on Cloudraker and Wingspan being Walgreens exclusive, we have good news for those who decided to wait on Pounce and Fastlane to be released on their own: courtesy of site sponsor RobotKingdom, we can confirm that the Clones that were previously featured in the "Chaos on Velocitron" and "Siege on Cybertron" sets will be available in their own two-pack as Amazon exclusives! According to RobotKingdom, the pair are set to be released sometime in August.

Whatever interest I had in the larger box sets has greatly diminished. Hopefully both sets will be available in August. Kinda wish they were exclusive to one store.

I'll just leave this post by Allspark user Nevermore here:
The only precedent for Hasbro using the same product code number for non-blindpacked products with different content were the three RID Mini-Con 4-packs.
Using the same product code number for different exclusive products that are exclusive to different stores is outright insane.
So yeah, I vote for "error on behalf of Robot Kingdom".

Re: Titans Return Clone Two-Pack Image, Revealed as Walgreens Exclusive
Mindmaster wrote:Courtesy of TFND.net user blacklai, we can confirm that the previously leaked Clone two-pack, consisting of Cloudraker and Wingspan, is indeed a retailer exclusive; like Brainstorm before them, they will be a Walgreens exclusive! blacklai also provides us our first in-hand look at the package, with the Autobot and Decepticon packaged in robot mode and a Walgreens sticker embossed on said package. The image can be viewed below for one's convenience.
The Walgreens Deluxes are about $3 more (Brainstorm is $18 vs. Target/Walmart Deluxe at $15). Does the $23 price of their twins over at Robot Kingdom sound about the right price for these at Walgreens?

This whole Clone situation is very frustrating to me. I had given up on the box sets, and decided to wait it out and see if Takara did two-packs. Now Hasbro is doing one. I hope this amazon rumor is true. I don't want to just have one of each Clone team. the whole gimmick is lost with out both.
As for the difference in packaging, I would bet that it was all a last minute scramble. They decided to scrap the last two box sets, but decided to go with the two-packs. I'd bet that box is the same as the TLK Deluxe box. The already had the die cut to punch those boxes, and they did a last minute scramble to get TR art to fit the box.

Huh. I got them for everyone, but especially laser prime (and ginrai since I can reason a Japanese version with annoying white parts) and metalhawk since my triggerhappy has a janky vehicle cannon.

*Looks Sheepish* I mostly bought the first giftset for the clone. But, then I am a weird completionist with Classics/Generations lines...
Also, everything looks like the RobotKingdom order is for the set that will be released as a Walgreens set here in the states. The pics on RK show both stock photos of the first two twins, but also a convention photo of the second two with the two pack box. I wouldn't call this "fake news" just "confusion by photo placeholders".

Brainstorm is exceptional as he's officially part of the standard Deluxe Class assortment (Code B7762), and not a standalone item like exclusives usually are.
That said, quite a surprise to see all 4 Clones released in 2-packs, each exclusive to one store, one being Walgreens no less! What's Hasbro been taking?
With that, I think it's safe to withdraw the conclusion that the other two box sets have been canceled.
