Oh, you meant the landing strips, ramp implies slope... Those big ones don't look like they'll be removable, they're probably molded onto the back of his shoulders, or they're on the screw that holds the shoulders together. If it's the second, you may be able to dis-assemble his shoulders and remove them, but, I doubt it.

I really dislike the plain gray face on Galvatron though. I think it was silver at that event he was announced at. I might have to do some paint work. They did so beautifully with Cyclonus' paint job, but then slacked off with Galvatron. So sad indeed.

well i know with most of the other versions of Fort Max(G1, Kabaya, KO & Infinitor) that they are removable

as for this joint....i'm just not sure if it's locked off or can still move? but dunno what purpose it would serve by having the whole arm swing forward :-?

Technically, my first was an Animated activators Bumblebee. But I don't count that.
And I do mean this particular figure.

Also, something I noticed with Scourge: If you hate the way that the TM arms and legs hang off of the head, then just unscrew the TM, remove the arms and legs, and screw it back together.

Because this is Metroplex remolded, it was probably too costly to remold/remove this aspect of the figure, I don't think it has been stated whether or not Fort Max will be able to move the shoulder like Metroplex...

Yeah, that commercial was really shocking :SICK:

But with Galvatron it's the other way round. First he was a nearly total buy to me and now don't think I'll get him. His alt modes don't look really good and the robot mode is ok. The frosted plastic of his cannon is a real bummer for me. Why did they change that?

Because this is Metroplex remolded, it was probably too costly to remold/remove this aspect of the figure, I don't think it has been stated whether or not Fort Max will be able to move the shoulder like Metroplex...

If it's too costly to remold it, why would they avoid remolding it by remolding it :HEADHURTS:

I maintain that he will be able to (kinda) pull of both of metro's modes too, as well as several 'fan modes' ;)^

I wish you could swivel Fort Max's arms around the whole way so in battle station mode, the structure is entirely in the back and he has his cannons with flight decks surrounding it :MAXIMAL:

The truth is that Hasbro has ALWAYS been about releasing the most toys possible for the least amount of cost. The initial G2 line is only redecos of G1 for crying out loud, why are we still having this discussion.

I think, at least for me, the problem with repaint/remolds is when it's not supported in accompanying media. The seekers and datsun bros have always been repaint in the show and comics, so the toys don't bother me. If the repaint is if some secondary no-name character, it doesn't bother me. When the likes of Prowl, Ironhide, and even Prime himself are repaint, that is when I get cranky. Just my two cents on the debacle.

Oh, and Willy? Because of how often you praised it, you should know I got Prime Wheeljack off of eBay. If I don't like it, I'm blaming you. :-D

They have painted faces because they have too, they are molded out of a different plastic color that wouldn't work for their face. Since Galvy has a helmet, his face isn't then made out of purple plastic, therefore there isn't a 'need' for his face to be painted, just another way to save money >:oP

It's possible that there are secret transformation steps left out of the official transformation. Maybe we can fan mode it. There's an odd hinge on his torso like some people pointed out. That might be some sort of transformation part that they abandoned.

The big red and black one? That's a leftover from metroplex, it's what he used to turn his arm into a tower in city mode
