Yes, that's the hinge that metro used on his left arm (remember fort max is metro facing backwards) so this is the same hinge from metro's transformation into city mode

Probably the same chance we'll get metro titan. Takara probably would be the best bet but they have bigger concerns like more masterpieces (like a beast wars megatron please)

"I hope Takara somehow manage to make the front of Astrotrain look more like a steam locomotive. It could probably be done with done with some sort of accessory that slips over the end."

And then...

I realised that the target master gun looks to be exactly the shape needed to do this. The only problem is the barrel, but then I noticed that there's a barrel shaped groove in the seat part, as if the barrel can be made to fit in there.

The gun doesn't appear with the hands-on photos, and in the stock photos it's attached to the side.

Very eager to see a review.

I swear I said this exact same stuff pages and pages ago. Yes, he is correct about the hinge. The landing strips on Fortress Maximus's arms are actually reused parts from Metroplex. Check Metroplex's vehicle/Battle station mode if you don't believe me. I believe it's possible those will be removable. I can provide pictures of Metroplex's vehicle/Battle station mode if you want.

In the marvel comic and in "Rebirth". The original Hb toy had the Nebulan "leader" "Spike" in is biocard......assuming that would be the adult Spike from the 1986 movie( I wonder if it was still Bob Budiansky who penned that biocard?).

Australia Toyfair was preceded by a small event between two Hasbro employees and some senior members of Ozformers. I want to like that Astrotrain, but it's kinda meh. The train mode is too far away from a real train, (so is the shuttle) for the character. This isn't a bad thing in of itself, but it just isn't convincing me to upgrade from the Classics Astrotrain which also had compromised alt modes.

I do like Galvatron on the other hand. He would be a nice upgrade from that crappy Universe version
