I would still say the Ford is tougher to transform. Most Alts are relatively easy to get into robot mode; it's getting back into car mode which can be the tough part. However, Grimlock took me awhile to get just into robot form and I kept thinking to myself, "I'm not looking forward getting this guy back into vehicle mode."

Plus, I'll give the Subaru a break since it was the first Alt released. You can see, as the line progressed, how they tried to make the transformations easier. Notice those little appendages that have the small magnets on the end next to the front wheels that connect to the front wheel axle? Those disappeared as the line went on, which was helpful since those often got stuck on the frame of the car and took an effort to jiggle around just to get in place.

But yes, the Subaru is still not a walk in the park to get all its parts aligned correctly.

Sticking to the topic at hand, I received my Commemorative Hoist yesterday. Cool little guy and I was surprised at just how ingenious the design actually was; not quite as advanced today, but still mighty impressive. I was always kind of indifferent to Hoist, but one of my current projects is going back and getting some of the more overlooked characters' G1 toys.

Also picked up movie Dropkick just because i was looking for Allspark figs, found none, and wanted to get something anyway.

Just got back from my weekly early-Sunday-morning Wal*Mart run. They finally restocked (first time since XMas)! I got a Nightwatch OP Leader! They had Evac and the new blue Ironhide, and the First Strike OP, but I didn't want any of them. I just wanted that Nightwatch OP. He's awesome.

Just picked up Nightwatch Optimus Prime at Walmart, then I was lucky to find the "Final Stand" screen battles at Target a few days later then yesterday my holy grail came... My partner gave me a 100% complete Prediking (and the bots have die cast bodies) as an early Birthday present. Whoo! Hoo!!

Picked up DCUC Penguin so Metamorpho only needs Red Tornado so he can stand on both legs. He's looking like one phenomenol figure to me. Very much worth the whole set IMO. Also picked up Assassin's Creed for the 360 for $38 before tax at Target. It's on sale till the 19 if I remember right.

Postby Starscream's Brigade » Wed Jan 16, 2008 11:18 am

I went on my search for the All-Spark....power deluxes and voyagers todays not expecting much as all the stores around me have recently restocked, but with old voyagers and deluxes (I have seen every movie deluxe and voyager produced before the AS toys). Anyway, I went to a Walmart on a whim, and it appeared to be the usual restock--but then, low and behold, I see the glimmer of a blue pickup behind the voyager Ratchets and Starscreams. I check it out and its one Offroad Ironhide--so I keep digging and I find one 1st Strike Prime and one Evac, who I have been lusting after for a while--so I jumped for joy and bought Evac (I'm not really interested in the other repaints).

Picked up the Landmine I got from Hasbro Toy Shop from the post office today. Feel kinda lucky I saw it was in stock when I did, as I checked just now and it's marked out of stock.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

Been a while since I posted...anyway, I got a Deluxe Landmine the other day. Great, lived up to the hype. (I only have trouble transforming him back to vehicle mode...but his Bot mode rules anyway)

I almost picked up Legends NW Prime Vs. Screamer, but I'm tired of minature TFs. Where are the Voyagers???

Howdy. I'm still relatively new to the Transformer collecting game here. I still mainly buy HotWheels because they're typically less expensive. Anyway, I was on my way to my hotel near Baltimore, and stopped at some s-hole WalMart on Rt 40. I initially went in to look for Disney Cars for my son. I quickly scanned the TF selection, hoping to find some clearanced Classics or Alternators. Anyway, I noticed a box that didn't match all the movie toys. I grabbed it, and lo and behold, it was a Masterpiece Starscream. I went to the nearest price scanner, and it rang up at $30. Needless to say, he's in my trunk now. Is that a good deal? The box isn't perfect, and I'm not 100% sure I'll keep him. However, finding out I made $1500 in commission last month is making me think perhaps I can find a space for him. I never had a Starscream as a kid, so this is pretty cool. Plus, when my son gets older, he'll be able to play around with him.
