Transformers Prime haul arrived today BH Bulkhead, BH Ratchet, FE BB, Shark Megs (is awesome), Grimwing, Vertibreak, Skystalker and Ripclaw. Ripclaw is that hidden gem and unexpectedly my favorite of the entire Prime line.

Eeeeehhhhhh, Ripclaw is awesome, but I'm pretty partial about the "Cyberverse upgraded" ULTRA Predaking. That is TF perfection in it's simplicity and design!

Just recieved Universe 2.0 Dropshot, sans rifle. He's awesome. I'm awaiting a test print of a Megatron head I made for him to arrive, and if it sucks I'm gonna scrap my idea of making him into a Megatron and just keep him as good ol' Dropshot.

I believe they are from different versions of him. Just looked it up, the gold plated one is from a gold plated AOE Asia tru exclusive, silver is custom and the multi color is FE or Reg release

Finally, after so very very long, I have gotten my hands on a transformer I have always wanted: Big Convoy!

And let me tell you, he was well worth the wait. I miss this level of complexity, this ingenuity of having two totally different modes with different details and making it work. And I miss the ultra class with it's wonderful heft, phenomenal articulation and hidden gimmicks stuffed to the brim.

And that headsculpt, wow, that must have been the best Convoy headsculpt to date at the time.



And now I can do this:




This completes my venture into Beast Wars neo, was fun.



I was surprised by how it didnt set me back by that much. With shipping, customs, the works, all those toys brand new came out to less than 85$ USD. And in order of my favourite to least favourite (though they all have their merits) it would be Big Convoy, Corahda, Guiledart, Longrack, and Razorback. I love all their headsculpts.

A pretty cool, if fairly modest haul for me. I took advantage of HTS's restock plus free shipping discout the other day, and so I finally have CW Powerglide! I also snagged Generations Legends Nemesis Prime, since I'd skipped on the mold entirely previously, but for $12 shipped for the both of them it was a no-brainer.

Powerglide is perfect, I'd be hard pressed to even imagine a better Powerglide in this size class. Plus, he doubles as a targetmaster, it's basically seamlessly incorporated and I really dig it.

Nemesis has some great paint apps and I love the color synergies with his minicon partner Spinister! I actually kept a piece of the packaging that keeps his chest in place there in order to prevent the flopping issue. I kinda like the way it ends up looking, too... it reminds me of PRiD vehicon's chest window. I mean, the mold is by no means perfect, but it does a lot of things right, and Spinister is a much more sensible gun than Roller was.

I love GOOD toys including good shellformers. BW Cybershark, Prime RID Vehicon and BW Bonecrusher are all good examples of shellformers done right while First Edition AOE Optimus and Thunderblast are example of how wrong it can get. I always understood them more in beast wars since beasts are organic in nature while robots are mechanical, so I do see the necessity of a shell and its fun to see how they all deal with them differently. I love how proudly Big Convoy wears his. It's an amazing toy, I am glad you got it. Also, the one you purchased is semi-loose. It's not that he's out of box, its that he was never put in a box. He is as new and minty fresh as any other brand new toy and comes factory wrapped too.

BTW, I'm sure it would be possible to make organic beasts with mechanical bodies without too much shellforming. More integrated beast parts in the altmode would certainly mean a less mechanical overall look, bit it sure can be done.

This finally completes my Evil Decepticon Classics Jet collection, covering Seekers Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp with Coneheads Thrust, Ramjet and Dirge.

I also own Classics Sunstorm and Acid Rain but feel they should have another friend to play with?

Of course, like with your B'Boom/Apache (the blue baboon who was in Beast Wars II). But I was just referring to when you want a more mechanical robot. I feel the original cybershark is a smart execution of having two very different parts and decos from mode to mode while still having some organic integration.
